I bought this light pad for tracing my garment patterns onto separate paper, so I don't have to cut my originals. I just received this and have only used it to trace 3 pattern pieces, but I am super pleased! The light is quite bright. I almost bought the A1 size, but went with the A2 instead and I'm so glad I went down a size. The A2 is plenty big enough for a standard bodice front or back. I did have to scooch things a bit for a sleeve pattern, but it was a non-issue. A reviewer mentioned the power cord that sticks out from the frame is unprotected and they were right. I plugged things in, then picked up the unit and immediately pulled the plug apart - DOH! No damage done, but I taped my cord to the edge of the frame with black Gorilla tape and it works nicely that way. Now when I'm distracted I will still likely pull the plug apart, but the end that meets the frame won't suffer any trauma. I also preferred this frame as it comes with an adapter plug not a USB and it is not a rechargeable unit. I can see the usefulness of those features for someone else, but for me this is the better option. They provide 4 clips that are nice and strong, although I don't know if i will have a use for them. Time will tell. I love the light settings. There are 5 levels of brightness and you can lock them so you don't bump the button and accidentally change things or turn off the unit. The light pad came in a very sturdy slender box (only 1.5") that had a foam frame around the device. Since I can't leave it set up, I will use the box and padding for storage.

This Light Box is great on all fronts. The adjustable light setting has like 4 levels and with the highest level I think I can probably get a nice facial tan while I am doing work. Very bright! The image quality is off the chain good; I mean really good. As far as functionality goes, the board is easy to operate, easy to set-up, and seems durable. I have only had it a week so time will tell in regards to durability. It is definitely light weight and easy to transport and move around while I am working. I actually don't have any complaints in regards to the light box and I am glad I got it. It is the best light board I have used and definitely the brightest. I would whole heartedly recommend it !

This tracing light box works so well. I needed something for my illustrations and got this unit. It is a good price, nice and big, and lights up really well. It feels sturdy, but is light weight enough that you can bring it to any room in the house, no problem.

HSK so far in my opinion is the best lightpad for it's price. Priced about the same as the artdot loghtpad but much better quality. Thicker and heavier duty it lights up from all around and not just the bottom. Adjustable intensity with the ability to lock the buttons so you don't activate them by mistake. I bought the A1 to replace my A2 which I gave to my sister and my nephew uses an A3. I can say HSK is the only lightpad I'd be interested in ordering.

I’ve owned this light pad for a long while and recently decided to get a second one to expand the area for which I could lay my larger projects on. It arrived well packaged and in mint condition. I also love that it was so easy to open and setup in under two minutes. It’s also had some nice enhancements since my original purchase. The surface is smooth and feels nice but the best feature is the lower lock option. The funny thing is I’d just purchased a second set of covers to prevent me from accidentally touching it but I don’t even need them anymore. lol. I hope this holds up like my last one. It’s going strong and very bright for diamond painting. Such a great price for the quality. Highly recommend.

I am very happy with the quality, functionality, and reliability of this light pad! I am a mosaic artist and create beautiful backlit pictures. My mosaics are stained glass on glass and professionally framed with this A3 light pad inserted into the back. The light pad can be removed and used in its normal purpose as an artist's tracing tool, and comes with a nice handled bag and two clips to hold paper. But I am not a tracing artist; rather I use these pads to hang my art on a wall and simply plug them in to bring out the light at any time of day, as you can see in the photo. I've included another photo of the mosaic with the light unplugged to show the difference this pad makes. I've also shown it in the back of the frame, which is held in by brackets. The main reason I continue to buy this particular product is that it can be turned on just by plugging it in; you don't have to push the control on the front of the pad, as in other products I've tried. It would be difficult to have to pull the pad out from behind the frame every time you wish to turn it on. No, just plug it in and it comes on automatically. The cord can be hidden with plastic cord hiders (bought a large supply that can be painted to match the wall). One more thing I like about this product is that the ruler is NOT on the light part and is thoughtfully placed on the frame, so it doesn't show behind my art. I made the mistake of buying one before I found this, where the ruler showed under my glass - yikes! So I did the research and found this one. I know this isn't the usual purpose for this product, but I just wanted to point this out for others who want to do the same thing. I have purchased five of these A3 pads and one each of the A4 and B4 (smaller sizes), and just bought two more A3 pads for my next projects. I'm one very satisfied artist!
