This dress is supposed to fit loosely and it does. I bought it specifically to cut it off at the waist and make it into a skirt, but the top is so cute, I think I'll use a different one I already had to make a skirt instead! I love these dresses! I wear them all year long. In the summer, I wear them as is and in the winter, I throw a pull over sweater on over it and wear it as a skirt and sweater. Bought this dress because I saw it at Bucee's and didn't pick it up then. I love it for all seasons - summer with sandals, winter with a jacket and boots. Super cute and flattering. DO NOT PUT IT IN THE DRYER - it WILL shrink. Even though I hand washed it, it still shrunk and bled so don't wash it with lights. Would buy again. Super comfy. Very nice, vibrant colors, good craftsmanship to detail. Nice fit for me. Before wearing turn the dress inside out and tie a few knots in each of the decorative stich thread tails that are loose, moisten your finger tips and run along thread to make it easier. I work in a sewing factory and not tying off this type of stich is common. The tag states it's machine washable on delicate cycle and dry low heat. I would not do either, I think hand wash, cold water and then put through spin to extract the water out. Give a good shake and air dry or hang dry. Only reason I would do this is because the decorative stiching probably wouldn't hold up and I think the colors would fade quick. Lightweight fabric and tag says 100% rayon. Feels like cotton to me, and it is soft and cool on the skin. Overall a great product for the price. ... show more

I think this dress is very well priced and very good quality. The colors in the material are beautiful and I believe it probably runs true to size. I like the dress in a little bit larger from my own preference and I think it’s a great dress for the price. I’m tall and the dress is long so it fits me perfect however someone short going with a bigger size may be too long for them depending on their preference. I am very satisfied with my purchase. I previously purchased two dresses from this seller for wear around the house. They were colorful and comfortable. When I washed them, the colors faded badly - the red became orange, the yellow a dull tan, and the green turned a gray-blue. I honestly wasn't sure if it was my own fault and, since they were for wear around the house, I didn't think much of it. I had occasion to purchase a third dress from this seller. (The price was low, and no one would ever see me in it.) I put it on and within a few minutes my legs began to itch, turn red, and became covered with welts. When I've had allergies in the past, I used a bit of alcohol first, which typically calms down the reaction and relieves most of the itching. This time it had no effect, so I tried a larger amount on a gauze pad. As I rubbed, I noticed that the gauze was turning red. At first I thought I was bleeding, but then realized that the red dye had leached off everywhere it touched my skin. Needless to say, this dress is being returned. I have no idea what toxic substance was used for the red color, but I strongly suggest you don't buy it in case you end up like I did. ... show more

The hemline in the photo is misleading. It's straight across. I have a short torso and it's almost too short to wear as a dress. I'll end up wearing it with a belt as an oversized shirt

I love it, I bought more than one color and one as a gift. As for the care, my machine has a hand wash cycle, I used that and put my dresses in a lingerie bag and washed them along with other delicates. I also put them in the dryer on low, still in the lingerie bag. I used sensor dry. When the remaining loose items were dry, I removed the dresses from the bag and hung them to finish drying. They came out damp. I am so happy to say there isn't any frayed threads or damage to these delicate items.!! 6 weeks later... I am happy to say this is still a nice cute dress. The picture is a but dark but I wanted to show the front ties as lots of reviews are regarding this. I really think you have to treat it as what it is. If you can't take extra care it will fall apart.. but if you do take care, you get a super cute, comfortable dress. I ended up getting several colors, I love them all. Compliments every time I wear one. ... show more

This is the 4th dress I have bought from Riviera. I get more compliments when I wear them than anything else I wear in my wardrobe. I like to wear a t-shirt style shirt under them which I think helps them look classy. Long sleeves for colder weather and short in warm weather. I also like to wear leggings with them, capri style with sandals in warm weather and long style leggings with ankle boots in cooler weather.. IMHO this is what gets the compliments because of the whole ensemble. But the dress is the focal point and icing. So not only does this dress have a classy style it also wears comfortably. I feel fun and flowy in it. Overall one of my favorite outfits to wear, and when additional parts added it works for casual or dressy IMHO. It’s easy to hand wash and hang to dry.
