First off - great customer service. One fin had a defect, making it difficult to install. I contacted them and they immediately sent me a new set. Second, knowing something about hydrodynamics - these have 100% smooth surfaces and were designed by an aeronautical engineer. The other knock-off brands I've seen either have weird texturing or fake "speed slots", molded in arrows, etc., to make them look racy - but will unquestionable hinder lift and increase drag. Imagine if you got on an airplane, and it had cool looking textured wings...Nope - 'nuff said. These are among the cheapest and the best. ... show more

Received the package but it was an open box in a plastic bag and there are no mounting hardware. Be ready to go to town and buy more parts it you buy this thing.

I ordered this hydrofoil thinking it was a Doel Fin outboard motor hydrofoil as was indicated in the product description. It was not a Doel Fin made by Davis but instead was a copycat item.
