This 10-foot, 1/4" air hose ended up being exactly what I needed for my portable air tank. The length is perfect...long enough to be useful without having a bunch of extra hose getting in the way. I recently purchased the Hromee 1/4-Inch x 10 ft Polyurethane Recoil Air Hose with Fittings, and I couldn’t be more impressed.     • Great first impressions - not so great on the second try

2024-05-16 -------------- It looks well designed and executed. The couplings are a hit - they have the smoothest, easiest engagement of any pneumatic couplers I've used: just push the two couplings into each other and it's perfectly mated, no need to pull the sleeve back like most others. To disengage you just need to pull the sleeve and the pressure will separate the two ends, as expected. My main concern with alternative products is the polyurethane hose. Those often lose their shape and become almost straight, defeating the purpose of the coiling, which is to help with tangling. My last one was a disaster - it lost the coiling within a few months and was a nightmare to deal with. This one has a tightly coiled spiral, but the thickness of the hose walls is rather thin, so we'll have to see how it holds up (I've barely used it for a few weeks now). The price is a bit high, but it would be worth it if it is durable. I will update this review as it time goes by. 2024-07-22 -------------- I dropped it with a tool attached (a small 90° drill). Not a good thing but I've done it a hundred times. I don't know if it was just bad luck, but the crimp fitting at the end of the hose just snapped. I feel it should be stronger. Also, to correct my statement above about the ease of engaging the couplers to a tool: that was at low pressure (I should have known better), at higher pressures (90 psi), it's not easy at all. Still, the couplers are very good, any weakness notwithstanding. Bottom line: the polyurethane hose is the main reason why I like this hose. I'm taking a star off because at this price it should be tougher, but I'm still going to replace it with another one of this item. 2024-07-25 -------------- This isn't as much about the product itself as about the manufacturer standing behind it: I wrote the seller and... they sent me a replacement within hours!     • I expected it to break leak or have crummy fittings

I've used it several times now, and it's quite handy, easy to grab and hook up, disconnect and put away. I expected it to break, leak or be hard to connect, but that has eluded this item so far. It feels OK, hate to admit that, but it just comes close to that quality feeling, like right on the edge. The length is just right for quick use. For the price, and since I'm not a professional and won't use it everyday, it has value. I won't give it 5 stars because I've been burned by items like this, so I gave it less. This item leans towards the positive side for me. Who knows, it may last 10 years for me and be invaluable. It just didn't shout with joy, but gets the job done so far. ... show more

    • Satisfied, no problems even after a whole year

I am satisfied with these hoses. I bought 2 of these about a year ago and since they have held up nicely, I decided to buy 2 more now. So far no complaints, no tears, no rips, no kinks, no problems with the couplers. I actually like these quick couplers since they require no touching of the collar when connecting an accessory. On standard air fittings, you need to pull back on the collar whenever you connect or disconnect the hose. On these fittings, the collar is locked back when disconnected so when connecting an accessory, you just push the male fitting in, the collar snaps into place and a connection is made. I prefer that for wall-mount fittings for tools so that I don't have to use two hands, one pulling the collar back and the other one pushing the male fitting in. This feature of the quick-connect fittings and the extra male fitting were definitely worth the extra $2 over competitor hoses without these. So far I am satisfied with my purchase and if anything changes, I will update the review. But I also see myself buying 2 more hoses in the future for my truck (which has an air compressor). ... show more
