As far as pricing, you can't seem to beat these as of right on here. They're just a basic 100 watt solar panel, pretty much in line with any other inexpensive 100 watt panel. I've used HQST's MPPT chargers and had really good luck so that's why I started using their panels as well. I have 2 - 600 watt strings of these in series/parallel and they're putting out enough to run a 9000 BTU window unit and charge a 24 volt 200 Ah battery bank. They're laying pretty much flat though so, If I spent a little more time adjusting the angle I could probably crank up the output even more. One star off because I think the MC4 connectors are a little smaller than normal. I didn't notice until I tried using my MC4 connector tool to disconnect the ends to change configuration and found my tool doesn't push the snap part enough to unplug them. I ended up having to use needle nosed pliers to squeeze the locking parts far enough in. I've used my MC4 tool on other brands connectors and never had an issue. It wouldn't stop me from buying more of these if I needed though. For the record I purchased 2 of these in June of '23 and 4 in July of '23 and they were all the exact same model.

The new version is completely different in all aspects, size, capibilities, different panels. Supposed to be better, but different. So, the two I already bought, can never be matched for more matching panels, my next choice for Solar Panels will be from a different manufacturer. One that can keep selling the same panels for a few years at least, I had planned on adding panels as I go. No longer going to use HQST Panels due to this reason. Panels are good quality (this version at least) seem to produce the proper amount of power. But discontinued. Along with my being a customer of theirs.

These were the most cost effective solar panels available on Amazon I think. That may be different when you read this but currently I think it's the case. I bought 4 during covid, then bought another 4 recently. They are all rated for 100 Watts, with a very small difference in open circuit voltage. All panels checked out and landed within open circuit voltage listed on the panels. Connected with 15 foot bougerv solar wires and connectors into 2 MPPT controllers. Wired in series I believe. Can't remember right now. With properly rated wire between the controllers and the battery, we are still getting 5 - 600 watts out of this setup, max. I expected much closer to 800. We are going to try a series/parallel setup next to see if we can get closer to the 100 watt value of each panel. I'm not disappointed with them. They are cheap solar panels. If you have a premium of space - buy nicer ones. I knocked off a star for the lackluster performance. I will come back later if the series/parallel setup proves out to be much more efficient but I doubt it. That being said - they didn't come with mounting brackets so figure that into your cost. They are very light but seem well made. I have no complaints at this time, based on my expectations. It's just that under load they don't perform at 100 watts with my specific setup. Install was done with an electrical engineer, so I have no doubts they are properly wired up.

These panels do the job for a fraction of the cost of the "name brand" ones. Two panels = 200 watts and with the brackets, controller and wire still in it for around $300. Kind of a DIY suitcase system. Don't use it that often but couldn't see thousands for a rooftop setup - just me.

The description said, "Bypass diodes minimize power drop caused by shade". I was disappointed that this aspect didn't really work. If even a tiny corner is shaded, then the output from the panel drops to nearly zero. This wouldn't be an issue if the entire panel were in full sun, but for my application it's a big problem.
