The rug itself is very soft, and it comes well vacuum packed so it does take a little while for it to fluff up, so be patient. It's super easy to clean, and I can just pop it in the washer and dryer without issue which is a HUGE selling factor. Having kids makes this so useful when everything ends up on the rug.
