This gaming laptop works great. I've had it for 2 weeks and have played several VRAM-demanding games at the maximum resolution. Also, it is fast and I can multitask several programs while playing games. My one disappointment was that I purchased the laptop on Black Friday when you expect the prices to drop, but I noticed that after Black Friday there was an $18.00 price drop. Admittedly, the price was affordable and reasonable for a gaming laptop (HP Victus AMD Ryzen 5-7535HS) which was released in 2022. Also, it has 32 gigs of RAM and 1TB SSD. It sells for up to $900.00 at other retailers. In summary, the HP Victus Ryzen 5 Gaming Laptop is an outstanding choice for gamers. It strikes the perfect balance between power, design, and versatility, making it suitable for gaming, content creation, and everyday use, its features and performance are the same as a gaming laptop that costs 3 times as much. So far it works great, battery is decent and it doesn't heat up too much. Sound is decent and it handles multitasking well so far. Only reason i gave it 4 stars is it says it comes with a 512gb external sd, which it didnt. Dont know if that's something they need to edit in the description or have the people packing them make sure they include it. Handles older games like Skyrim and Fallout 4 really well and resource hungry programs like photoshop so far easily. ... show more

I got this laptop and was very excited and it worked for about 2 months and then it crashed bc of some update for windows software and haven’t been able to reboot it bc it lacks legacy. Called HP and I have to reinstall windows from a flash drive with an Ethernet connection. I am not tech savvy and am very busy, so I haven’t been able to use the laptop for 3-4 months now. I’m utterly disappointed really want my money back bc it’s ridiculous and I’ve never heard of anything like this. .. ... show more

Hi! This is a great PC. Came quickly and with no issues. Thanks! However, just note that this is NOT a fresh PC from HP. The company selling this bought this in bulk, upgraded the PC with the specs listed above, and then shipped it out. So any issues you have will be with that company, not with HP. This is a good "light" gaming laptop (games from 4+ years ago). It cannot play the latest games or even MMORPGs. If you need a business laptop, this is great. You can run a lot of Chrome tabs and Windows. The reason for the 2 stars is that it is a good laptop, but the vendor is unresponsive and, as others have said, is missing an external drive. Great price for the hardware you get. It plays Rust!! Not an easy game for a laptop but it does it great!! Knocked two stars off because unit came with two different brands of ram rated at different speeds. I had to order new ram! Not good! I wonder how it even works as good as it does

Love this series by HP, actually fairly impressed with the performance. If you have the space and setup room, I would still build a computer, or have a tech build one. However, this is a solid laptop and runs a lot of games smoothly.
