If you plan to sit and play on this computer plugged up, then it is perfect, just like a pc. The only thing is the fans are working overtime with it being plugged up. However, if you want to play games on the go and an outlet isn't available, this is not the best laptop. Playing a higher graphics intensive game like Apex Legends, ran my battery down 100% --> 30% in 45 minutes. I am hoping that it works better as just a work laptop for on the go because the main reason I got it was so that I could play videogames in college, but also do schoolwork when in class. It's definitely a great laptop and I haven't any problems with it! Runs games like Apex Legends, Dead by Daylight, and DayZ amazingly! May just be more stationary like a pc than what a laptop is typically used for. ... show more

Bought this for my wife to do light hobby photo editing and very light gaming. So far it has been performing well. Yes it gets a little warm and the fans are a little loud but it's a thin light laptop with decent specs at a decent price so going to have to compromise somewhere. I've been very pleased with this HP Victus gaming laptop. It plays all my games like Palworld and other games that require a good graphics card. The laptop doesn't get hot or loud when I play my games, which is a big plus. The only thing I don't like is that it's not easy to turn the keyboard light back on. Good intro laptop. I only use it stationary for gaming. I'll upgrade the ram, but it's not needed to play games from low to medium graphics. I play Hunt, Borderlands, Once human, and a few other games without issue. Boots quick and works like it should.
