Picked this up after another dock had a compatibility issue with a HP Elitebook 840 G6 where if something was plugged into the downstream Thunderbolt 3 port the laptop would not boot; once booted, you could plug something and it would have no problem working. Ergonomics wise the TB3 cable to the computer is in an awkward spot (which is why I docked a star) with it coming out the front of the dock. It fits my needs. Only one cable to the computer that can provide power. It can drive two 4k monitors at 60hz with one caveat: you have to plug one into the TB3 downstream connector as electrically the Display Port plugs can't both drive two monitors at that resolution and refresh rate. I like the speakerphone functionality and the number of ports. Additionally, the HP to HP setup allows for the power button on that top to work, so I never have to open the lid or use another solution like Wake on LAN to power it on. ... show more

This port replicator was used on an HP Spectre laptop and uses an USB-C connector. The setup was easy as Windows detected everything and installed automatically. I am using it for dual external monitors, and power delivery. No issues as of yet.

I use one of these at work without the audio/speaker phone functionality. I bought this one because of work from being the way now. It was a bit expensive, but considering the functionality it provides, not outside the realm of "meh, one device on my desk, vs. two devices...buy." It works awesome with my 840 G6 laptop, and seeing as it provides power, display and all other functionality via a single USB-C cable, I also bought a laptop stand which allows me to put my laptop in it edgewise, so I have managed to clean up my desk surface significantly. Just bought this dock- my initial reactions were what??? It does not have even HDMI port even though it has older generation pin sockets for older displays??? It only has display port otherwise which is absurd- I cant use my two monitors having HDMI ports. I could have bought a simple $20 dock from Walmart and that could have served the purpose. But I chose to spend 15 times the money to make sure that I have the best piece of equipment available, but I am proved wrong by this useless piece of equipment. Again, the thunderbolt port wire is in the front & power cord in the back implying you have to keep it on the edge of the table next to the monitors. Again, that makes the touch sensitive buttons on left side - means they are not facing you- plain careless design. This is going back !!! Pls don't buy !!! ... show more

I am not one to write reviews, never write them. But!!! We purchased a HP docking station in August 2022, for various reasons we didn't used the product within the 30 day warranty for the seller/New Heights Product. When we did try to plug in the docking station, it was not working properly, no sound, lights and an USB port wasn't working correctly. Worked with HP on why things wasn't working and found out the docking station warranty with HP was 11/13/19 - 03/16/2020. I purchased this docking station August 2022. It's obvious this is a used, default docking station and New Heights Products resold the product damaged. New Heights will not refund our money and Amazon says they can not do anything to help us because we did not use it within the 30 days, so much for customer service. Buyers beware buying items from New Heights Product. I now have contacted our credit card company. ... show more
