The media could not be loaded. I’ve had this laptop since February of 2020, that’s when I first ordered it. It’s was doing good although I only used it for my son when he was doing remote learning from home. When he went back to school I decided to use it for school. In 2021 the speaker was so messed up and couldn’t really hear because it sounded like a robot so I got that fixed. I took off from school the beginning or 2021 because of issues I was having with my family. I then enrolled back in college September of this year. My oldest som was murdered in July so I wanted to do something to take my mind off of everything that was going on and things was working fine to my knowledge. Saturday I get a notice saying my laptop needed to be updated to windows 10 I did that and now my computer has been stuck in this mode since Saturday… I contact Hp Tech support which they said it was nothing they could do to fix the issue because I don’t have a tech support subscription I’m like what 😢 I never even knew I had to get a subscription to ask for help with your product.. He then said, “ It’s your fault your laptop needs a new warranty”, I am baffled at this point because I was never told about a warranty and that the warranty expired in April of 2021 and I paid for the laptop February of 2021 like what… How did my warranty expire that quick when I had just purchased the laptop…. AMAZON WAS NO HELP AT ALL.. I’m so mad because I am in school no laptop and all my information is on my laptop I’m so disappointed with Amazon and Hp.com… All I asked for was help 😓

pros: - the screen size it pretty big - the setup doesn’t take too much time - great for online school - comes with a charger - you get a free one year subscription of office 365 - you can download apps like spotify, netflix, hulu, roblox, etc. (though i wouldn’t really recommend getting apps like roblox and minecraft since they take up a lot of storage and it may or may not just make your laptop even slower) cons: - it keeps disconnecting me from my wifi and i have to keep reconnecting but honestly, i’m accustomed to it now. i don’t even mind it. - it was slow every time i clicked on something too fast so try to avoid doing that to prevent your laptop from freezing (its not slow to the point where you can’t do anything) ** im only using this laptop for netflix and online school and i would recommend it to anyone doing the same **

I bought this laptop for home use, like browsing the net, small emails, doing little things like photo collages and other stuff which i remain to keep online. Unfortunately, it turned out to be extrememly slow. If i opened more than 1 application while browsing, everything was slow. I thought it was memory, saving space, internet... one by one i ruled out all issues and realised processor was the one. I thought, since its for minimal use, this should do but the processor turned out to be a disappointment. Additionally, you don't have keyboard lights, which i didn't realise while buying. Turns out, it is a bit of a struggle!

I almost sent this laptop back, but...Sam from Amazon stayed on the phone with me and called HP, They tried to get it to stay connected to the internet with no luck. It would stay on for maybe 15 mins, and then disconnect again and again. So finally HP sent a FedEx box to send it in. Took about 2 weeks to get it back, but now it works like a charm. Hasn't disconnected yet, and I've had it on for about 3 days. Some people say it's slow, I don't think so. I love this laptop now, plenty fast enough, and oh so cute. Highly recommended, but only after sending it to HP for an internet connection fix.

I've alway been a fan of this line of HP mini laptops. Having owned an older one, I thought this would make an excellent replacement. Nope! The first problem is that the power button stopped illuminating. Then I discovered that SSD chips don't lock into place and can easily fall out when moving this unit around. The CPU seems to be underpowered for this unit and browsing seems a bit sluggish. The screen and keyboard are good sized, making it good for older adults with poor eyes and clumsy fingers. Perhaps it was just my unit that was defective which I replaced with another HP Stream with a smaller screen, but better CPU.

Bought this as a gift for my wife to play the Sims 4 on and for casual internet surfing. I knew going into it that it didn't have a lot of memory but should have been able to run the game she wanted as we were going to install it to an external harddrive. Really wish this came as a better computer because we both loved the look and color. Ended up replacing with a bland different laptop. This would be fine for light use though since it comes with a year of Microsoft Office and you can always purchase an external harddrive for more memory.

This is my first home laptop which was purchased to engage in Zoom meetings which have become a necessity of recent times. I have been very pleased with the product, it's easy to use functions and portability (which my desktop obviously doesn't have). I have not encountered problems with wifi as reported by some purchasers. The only issue was that I did have to convert to Windows 10 after finding out Windows 10 S Mode does not allow using the Zoom which was the main purpose in buying this laptop. I found HP tech support to be very helpful and it was easy to follow the directions to convert over. I am very pleased with this product. Thank you.
