My Mom loves it! Always hard to get find her something for Christmas that she will enjoy and find useful. This one hit the mark, I had to set it up for her, which was a breeze, the container meant for loading the picture paper was momentarily perplexing but once I figured out how everything slides it's actually a pretty intuitive design. Hold the power button down until the light comes on! My Mom thought it shipped broken because she just pressed it and it didn't come on, you have to hold the power button. Once I got her set up with her phone, showed her how she could pick multiple photos for a single print and shift them in the frames for a perfect fit, she caught on quick. I'm sure the appeal will eventually wear off, but she was chuckling Everytime the picture would run through, it does about 3 full passes from the loading sleeve to the back and then up into the drying tray, I don't know how it works, it's not incredibly quick but it does make very high quality, beautiful photos. Its incredibly easy to move around and hook up, phone connection is wireless, the size of the entire unit is smaller than a shoebox, so it's easy to store when not in use. I imagine the only downside will be the cost of purchasing more paper and rollers, but it comes with over 100 sheets and 3 rollers, and the bundle packs seem to be semi reasonably priced. She's printed about 10 pictures so far and everyone looks as good as the last. ... show more

This printer is small but mighty. Great quality photos, if you’re looking to print more than 10, I’d consider ordering prints elsewhere. It takes a few minutes to print one photo. Great to have at home for a frame change or a last minute gift idea.

Defective. The first there photos printed perfectly. 4th photo shot a paper out the back of the printer and then an error light came on. Removed the tray followed the instructions again and tried to print the error was persistent. Power cycled it and the error went away. Tried to print and the paper just kept spitting out the back until the tray was empty then the app returned a jam/tray error and switched between the two errors constantly. Requested a refund within less than a half hour of opening the product. Not at this price point, buyer beware. ... show more

Make note - this printer will only work with IOS or android phones - will not work with a pc. Second red flag- hp requires you to permit full location services on your phone before you can print. Third - only works with 2.4ghz network and even when provided a dedicated router with 2.4 specific ssid (and internet connectivity) software to printer still didn’t work with first printer or second replacement printer. My advice-look elsewhere. The location thing bugs me-why does HP or the printer need my location if I’m attached to the same network. ... show more
