I'm not a gamer - let's get that out there right off the bat. I have no idea if this laptop would suit gamers, but as a teacher who uses MS Office, Google Apps for education, and Zoom extensively, this laptop is great. I also use a few molecular modelling and other memory-intensive science apps and have found no issues at all using this device. The display is vibrant and touchscreen is sensitive but not overly so. The touchpad was easy to adapt to (I am primarily a mouse guy) and is a very convenient size. I have researched a replacement for an older Microsoft Surface Go, and this product hit the mark. First, thank you HP. It is a very good laptop. That said, I am now 50 and have been using, toying with, and upgrading PCs since I was 14 years old. I've been burned in the past, but that is on me. HP has come through. needed something as a second screen from the recliner and "coffee shop" portable and I was not happy with android tablet for these uses. the 360 aspect and touch screen of this laptop make it versatile enough for these uses. I would not use this as a holding tablet much as it is way too heavy. Performance for web browsing, youtube, google maps etc is really good and touch screen is very responsive. screen brightness could be better but it is usable. still cant find a supported way to wake it from sleep when it is tablet mode (best way I could find is to unplug and replug power cable). I bought it used good condition from amazon warehouse. it arrived on time, well packaged. it looks great and had no issues a very good buy at well under 400usd ... show more

I took a chance and bought this laptop used for $400. It was 1000% worth it! For a used laptop, it looked brand new. I got it for my niece for Christmas. She's off to college next year, so she needed something a little more high end. I have the 15-bp1xx and it served me well through college. I believe this one will do the same of my niece. She also wanted a laptop that could play SIMS. Her last one (I don't remember the model) tended to overheat. She set everything up and has been playing SIMS nonstop since she got it. the laptop is perfect. it arrived in good condition, it boots up very quickly. the computer is fast, it does not lag. the touch screen is pretty good. the battery life is not good. the website says it can last up to 10 hrs. but in reality, it lasts 2.5 to 3 hrs. I kid you not, out the box there were trackpad issues. Misclicks or just not picking them up at all. My laptop constantly overheats, blue screens and turns off and I’ve only had this laptop for 3 months for light photoshop and netflix. There’s also not really a route to get a refund outside the return window so I’m stuck with an expensive HP paperweight. Back to apple. ... show more

HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-inch Laptop, 11th Generation Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor - seems to be a great little computer, nothing really exceptional, easy to set-up - NOTE: although someone responded in the "questions/answers" section that this had backlit keyboard, this is NOT TRUE, NO BACKLIT KEYBOARD. I purchased specially because I liked everything I read about this PC and when I saw that someone had indicated it did have backlit keys, I decided to go with it.......was so disappointed. So I am returning......It is a shame that so many feedback and question/answer results on this site aren't reliable. Sometimes you are not even sure the responses are even for the item you are wanting to buy. Makes buying decisions very difficult. I have learned from this to always try to look under manufacturer on-line if available before making an actual buy.
