Arrived quickly and is a beautiful PC. No issues with the setup. I only have the PC for a few days now but so far it works great. My last PC I also bought from the company and it lasted many years. I had a question and was helped quickly.

    • EDIT: Missing windows 11 software.

EDIT: The main problems I have with this purchase is that the windows 11 recovery partition on disk 0 was missing so I couldn't create a recovery disk as is normally done on a windows 11 system. Instead there was an "UKN" section (right click on the windows icon and select disk manager to see the partitions). After an internet search I was able to find the missing software on a windows 11 iso file, download it to the appropriate location on the c: drive (after exposing the hidden windows files and changing the recovery folder ownership), created the recovery partition with the correct partitions and permissions, and finally enabled the partition. This took several days since I had to use the information from several sources in order to complete the job successfully. After this the systems seem to be working ok so I upgraded my reviews to 3 stars. Perhaps it could be higher but the amount of wasted effort necessary to get a fully working system caused me to lower the review. OLD REVIEW (outdated): I bought two of these; one for myself and one for my grandson. Upon receiving them I discovered that they do not have the windows 11 pro version installed as advertised but worse the installed windows 11 home addition lack the windows recovery software necessary to make a recovery disk. I tried to get technical help several times but after hours of waiting I give up. These are showstoppers and I will be returning these computers. ... show more

    • A lemon - I'll never buy an HP or an Asurion plan again

(Just because I'm not cursing in print doesn't mean I'm not angry at this useless piece of crap.) First problem, which started as soon as I started using the laptop: with only Task Manager & Notepad open, the CPU was using 10-15% and RAM use was at 80%. Microsoft hardware checks showed the 4TB M2 SSD & 64 GB RAM fully functional. No virus issues, per PCMatic. After I finally finished a project with an urgent deadline, I called Asurion to ask for help. They said: Sorry, we can't help with Windows 11 Pro; call HP. (Why did you sell me a support package for this machine, then??) I called HP. HP said: You're past the 30-day return period, and we can't help unless you pay us for support. Eventually I tried a 20-sec. reset, and got a message that there was a problem with the BIOS. I downloaded a BIOS update from HP's site. All was good for 3 weeks. Then ... Second problem: the SSD crashed. Irreparably & irrecoverably. I took the machine to Best Buy, which is listed on HP's site as an authorized HP repair place. Best Buy's Geek Squad said: For warranty repair, you'll have to ship it to HP; that'll take 3-4 weeks. I can't be without a computer for that long. So I paid Best Buy for a new M2 SSD ($260), and bought their year-long service plan ($180) so at least I wouldn't have to pay for labor, if something else is wrong besides the SSD. I don't see any way to get that money back from HP. I suspect their "warranty service" is designed to discourage anyone from using it. And Asurion's tech support was useless. If I could get my money back, I'd buy a Lenovo, the brand recommended by the data-recovery firm. (They couldn't recover any data from the M2: it was completely dead.) ... show more
