I invested in this laptop in 2022 bc I needed a laptop for my small business. 3 Years TO THE DAY, I am attempting to get work done and it wouldn't connect to the internet. I let it update, thinking that is the problem. Turns out the problem was drive failure and I had a mental breakdown after my brother walked me through coding stuff to locate the problem, only to find out I will need to replace the drive and spend about $700-$1000 in data recovery. Fantastic. Over the past 3 years, this laptop and I have had our ups and downs; battery life is absolute trash, and the touch screen is ok, though the functionality is lost as it does not transition into tablet mode. This computer was wonderful, but only for 32 days. At that time it locked up. After days on the phone with HP techs, and losing all of my data, they said I must return it for repair. They said I would receive a box & instructions in 2 days. It has now been 5 days, and still no box has arrived. An extremely frustrating experience. My HP Pavilion arrived yesterday afternoon on schedule. So far, I love it: set up after taking it out of the box was super easy and quick to do, I've been able to customize it to my liking without incident, and it looks and feels sleek and well-made. The screen is larger than anticipated, but this has been much appreciated when watching YouTube videos and movies on Netflix and such. The only things that have been kind of annoying thus far are the fact that the touchscreen has a tendency to get pretty dirty, and the battery life isn't the greatest if I have a lot of programs running simultaneously; it's advertised as up to 8 hours and 45 minutes, but I've averaged between 5-6 hours on a full charge. I think these things can be remedied by doing a bit more research on measures to conserve battery life and purchasing a screen cleaning kit. Overall, I recommend this laptop for anyone looking to purchase something well-made, easy-to-use and under $800. ... show more

I bought this one after dropping my previous laptop. I have really enjoyed it. My only somewhat complaint is that the clamshell doesn’t open quite enough so it sometimes feels odd. Other than that, I have enjoyed it.

Bought this on Prime Deal Days and thought it was a good price. Advertised as coming with Windows 10, but once booted up it automatically put on Windows 11 without notice or asking me. The display was very, very dim even on it brightest setting. Called for tech help and was advised to return it. Trying to return it through Amazon has been ridiculous and because of the way they had me return it, I'm not sure I am going to get the refund!! They had me return it as a "book" return that was in the same order because they messed up on the return and used the label on a box on the porch that was NOT put there to be picked up. I'll never buy a large item like this again on Amazon. No way to get ahold of anyone to help me, customer service did their best, but weren't sure how to handle this problem. It has been returned via another return label as advised by customer service (book Lily's promise) but inside the box was the laptop with all of its paperwork including my invoice for purchase and a letter explaining the situation.
