OK, I broke my cardinal rule of making a purchase of a product with zero reviews. Looks like I will get to start things off. On a bang for your buck scale, this item looks pretty good! I ordered it without relying on feedback from anyone. I was salivating over the arrival of my new play-pretty and was delighted to find that delivery was ahead of schedule! It arrived this morning and was handed to me by the Amazon driver. There was no apparent damage to the outer or inner packaging. As per the description, I was aware that the product would not be sealed because the product had been upgraded with a larger SSD drive as well as a memory upgrade. Everything seemed to be in order so I charged it for a few hours and gathered the info I would need to make it my own. This was to be a replacement for my old laptop that had finally surrendered. Windows 11 welcomed me and I proceeded to start jumping through the multiple hoops required of me by my friends at Microsoft. About halfway through, the screen went blank. That should have been a warning. But, nerd wanna-be that I am, said 'meh'...Let's restart it and see what happens... Long story; short...After MANY restarts, blue screens, blank screens, driver updates, google searches, and no lack of consternation, I decided that it was time to cut my losses and try again. At this point, I had already managed to share some of my information into the operating system and other areas of this machine, so I needed to purge that before I returned it to folks unknown. After the third reset, one actually completed and I am hopeful that it is clean now. The good folks at Amazon (politics notwithstanding) have always been super to work with and they really do take care of their customers! I know how new products can have their glitches, and that beta testers are sometimes customers. I am hopeful that I can update this review with glorious praise for the seller and the product!     • Do not downgrade from an Hp 15....
I honestly had no choice but to buy this at the moment because my old Hp 15 decided to take its last breath yesterday. I could have spent a little extra to get a larger screen but I said "There can't be much of a noticable difference." That is beyond an understatement, it is far too tiny for me and I am likely going to return it so that I can get a much larger screen that I can actually see. If you have really good vision (20/20 or 20/15) this would be an affordable option for you. It's not a bad laptop for simple tasks such as icollege, surfing the web, streaming movies via hdmi to your tv and etc. The only downside to this laptop (which is an obvious one based on the dimensions) is the fact that the screen is too small. It's slim and lightweight design is actuallya plus. If it had a 15.6 inch screen like the hp 15 witht he same slim design it would be arguably one of the best laptops I've owned. I just have poor vision and cannot strain to see the screen. So I will likely be returning this laptop later this week. It came packaged really well, was already charged a bit, and seems to hold power pretty well. I'm honestly going to give it a few days to see if my eyes can adjust but.... more than likely I will be returning it to purchase a 15.6 inch screen laptop. I don't care about the processor and stuff like that because I already have a pc with super crazy specs for gaming. I just need a reasonably sized screen. Update: I decided to keep the item and give it a try. It's actually quite the bang for the buck! I decided to update it from 3 to 4 stars simply because it is very portable, fast enough to do school work and surf the web and the design isn't that bad. I don't believe that it is a 5 star item in comparison to other options, but it is definitely not a 3 star item either. Plus, it arrive on time right when I needed it. If I decide to upgrade to a different computer I will give this one to a relative. However, I actually like this product. If you decide to buy this item give it a chance to see if it's what you want. It appears to be a decent laptop after you take it out of S-Mode. Windows S-Mode (Safe Mode) is really annoying, and restrictive. If you decide to buy this laptop I highly recommend that you take it out of S-Mode so you can use whatever app, or web browser you want. The S-Mode is just a ploy from Microsoft to get you to buy apps from the Microsoft Store that would normally be free on the internet. This HP laptop w Windows 11 was recommended by a Karl's Technology contractor as a replacement for a failing 6yo Toshiba Satellite. Everything about the new computer is perfectly adequate, but after the nice finishes, thoughtful details & upgrades of the Toshiba, this is a big step down in quality. My own fault for being in a rush & not doing my own research. The HP has only 2 USB ports - I need 4, so now there's a hub to deal with. There was no media software installed, so there's a quirky app to hassle with. And instead of backlit metal keys shaped for finger pads, there's flat, painted plastic. I'll use it for a few yrs, & I'm sure it will be ok, but I already look forward to a better quality machine when this starts to wear. And from the plastic feel of it, it won't be long. ... show more

Had I received the key code for my Office 365 that was to be included in the purchase...I spoke with every agency involved only to have this issue not rectified...sadly it was not handled properly and my review is **BUYER BEWARE **** FRAUDULENT BUNDLE PACKAGE...NOT SATISFIED...TOO MUCH HEADACHE.
