I did a lot of research on which laptop best fit my needs and wants. I wanted a laptop that could multitask on a regular basis and provide me with the best quality and performance while gaming, listening to music, running Photoshop and designing images, running laser engraving software, doing schoolwork, and streaming videos. The Omen 16 Ultra is absolutely amazing and fit all my needs and wants. I wanted an Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU plus enough ram and space to last me a good while. I went with the Intel Ultra 7 CPU and RTX 5060 GPU with 64gb ram and 2tb SSD. This combo is perfect for downloading all of my games and running all of them in the highest settings. It is also great for multitasking, which is my main way of working. Acabo de probar la HP OMEN 16 Ultra Slim con la RTX 5060 y me encantó su rendimiento. Los juegos corren súper fluidos y la pantalla de 16 pulgadas con alta tasa de refresco se ve increíble. Aunque es más delgada que otros modelos gamer, sigue siendo robusta y algo pesada, pero eso se compensa con su potencia. Huge HP fanboy, but was disappointed. Lots of little things. The black is pretty, but it shows every finger print. It is a shinny black and shows every smudge. My kid borrowed it and did not even want to touch the keyboard, and that was just 5 minutes after I washed my hands and wiped it down myself. The power adaptor cord falls out all the time. I noticed other reviews complained about this and ignored, but it is a thing. Honestly the keyboard is one of the worst things. They used a different font and the R key looks like an A, The S key looks like a 5, the Q keys looks like and O. If it was the only keyboard I used, I could probably get used to it, but occasional use it is a problem. I thought just give it time and you will get used to it, but the more I use it, the more I HATE IT. Keyboard itself is fine to type on, but I constantly struggle find the starter keys. I don't really look when typing, but do have to find the keys to get started, and it takes longer to find the keys. Not a fan of the lighted keys. I just want them to light up white when you start typing, and not all the time draining the battery. The colors are just are not needed. I knew they were colored when I bought it, and no issues with options, but I would have liked to seen a standard white no patterns option. It surprised me that could not be disabled. Mine did not work out of the box. The touch pad mouse click only worked part of the time. They offered to replace it with a new one which seemed odd. I could buy another one at the same price, keep this one, and when the replacement arrived, return the old one and they would credit my card when the old one returned and inspected. Option 2, was to send mine in, and once inspected would order a replacement, which could take 4-6 weeks. I asked if we could just have this one fixed. They first tried to tell me there would be a charge to do that. I said you are going to charge me for a laptop you sent to me broken? They then said, it would be free, but the repair center was behind and it would be a long time before I would get it back and they would not recommend it. The OLED screen is WOW, but I did not realize was that shinny. I have issues seeing the screen when the sun is shinning on it. Matte screens are not as vivid, but to do reflect the sun light. If you had this in the basement it would not be an issue, but if using it during the day next to a window, you will need to take that in consideration. Over all I liked the laptop minus the above. It ran well, once I removed all the HP bloatware. The battery life sucks. You need to assume it will need to be plugged in all the time. You could use it for web surfing on battery for a while, but hard core gaming you would be lucky to get a few hours on the battery.
