I switched back to a desktop for gaming and sold my gaming laptop but I like having a laptop around for doing tech things/troubleshooting around the house or when helping out family. Just wanted something small, lightweight, and powerful enough to run Linux Mint. This laptop has the specs for that and was very affordable, being refurbished. It's lightweight and seems so far to have good battery life. Linux was a pain to get installed; I had to disable secure boot to get the OS initially installed, then re-enable it to get the system to boot. I won't knock stars off for that, because that's an issue with the BIOS from the manufacturer and not anything the Amazon seller did. Once the install was done everything has worked smoothly Laptop is fully functional and came with an OEM AC adapter. Minimal blemishes/scratches on the outside. Model/serial sticker slight worn but readable. LCD panel is mostly clean except for some small unremovable keyboard marks near the top center of screen. This doesn't bother me for a utility laptop and at this price point. Overall I'm pretty happy with this system and it would be a good fit for someone who wants a light laptop for work purposes or occasional e-mail/web browsing. ... show more

Computer is in great condition with no visible damage. Ran antivirus with no issues. Boots and runs. Shipped with a bummed charger. No big issue, picked up a Chinese one for $10 and it works great now. If you receive this and it will only charge when on standby intermittently don’t fret. It’s Definetly the power supply and not the computer itself. Easy fix. Not a gamer, use it to run cad and 3d printing software with no issue. More than enough speed for me. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. First and foremost, great customer service. When I had issues, they helped me replace the first laptop I received and sent me one that has had no problems since receiving it 2 months ago. They made the process extremely easy for me as the customer. The laptop has great value, especially compared to brand new consumer laptops similarly spec’d. It is quite speedy and is good enough for my work as a university student. I’d recommend buyers to KNOW how much storage they will need. 256 GB is enough for me, but may not be for others. The battery charges pretty fast, but also can deplete in a few hours depending on what you are doing. I would recommend tuning battery/power settings to your preferences. Vega graphics are good for light gaming. I wouldn’t recommend demanding games for it due both the power consumption and the iGPU probably struggling. Older titles (like Ultra Street Fighter IV, I like fighting games) or simpler games like Minecraft or Stardew Valley are what I would recommend. The laptop has a simple professional look that I like. I ordered this Renewed in excellent shape and it arrived like new, although it was not in original packaging (as expected). The power supply did not work, but that may have been me - the center charging pin was bent and not making a connection - be careful. But, have no fear, because it will charge with a type C charger too (I have one and it's more convenient to use). I wanted to do some gaming while travelling and didn't want the hassle of taking my full desktop - it plays all the games I like, such as Fallout 76. It is light and durable, the backlit keyboard is awesome, has a great display. I chose a 256GB SSD, but it seems small now, since Fallout takes almost 100GB. There is no SD card reader or storage bay, so choose the SSD size you need. It has multiple USB ports, so travel storage is not an issue. ... show more
