I have had this computer exactly one month today (2/18/24). It has performed well and has all the features that PCOnline said it would have. This is the second computer I have purchased from PCOnline and I have been pleased with their upgraded computer products and great shipping! I purchased the 1TB SSD/16Gb Ram model with an Intel i5 processor. This processor is quite fast and will meet the needs of most of the customers buying the computer. You could "jump up" to the i7 processor but the difference in cost is really not worth it unless you are doing a great deal of heavy duty gamming or video work/processing/watching. The computer is fine. Remember, it is NOT a 2024 model and it has been modified by the seller. The seller has done a great job in upgrading the item, however. It appears they are using all Intel and HP parts for their upgrades. Also, you can actually call the seller if you have questions. I will purchase another computer from PCOnline in the near future. The computer is very good. Windows 11 is a pain in the ass! The computer is easy to set up but you must take your time when using the Windows 11 Home software. Many things you will need to use in set up are BURIED deep inside many of the settings menus. Just take your time, chill out and you will be fine. If you are familiar with all of the settings menus in Windows 10 you will be wayyyyyyyyyyy ahead of the game. Be sure to go INSIDE the computer menus and record the serial number and all of the other identifying information regarding the computer. You may need this in the future. Remember, the SELLER has MODIFIED the computer, NOT the manufacturer. The seller did a great job, but you never know what could happen in the future (you will probably not want to mail you computer to some distant site for repair if needed). HP will probably not want to do warranty repairs on your new computer because it has been modified. So, to make a long story short; this computer is quite nice, works well and was modified correctly. The seller PCOnline is a reputable vendor (has been for me, twice) and all seems to be working well after one month of use. I will update later if there are any problems. Go ahead and purchase it! P.S. The first computer I bought from PCOnline was fairly advanced laptop that cost $1,200.00 +. That purchase was made about 11/2 years ago and the computer is still working well. Powerful "like new" machine for cheap. New install of Win 7 Pro came with the previously used machine. There is no guarantee how long your warranty will last because it is based on when the first owner bought the machine and returned it. There is no reset of the warranty period

So this computer worked great for a month or so. Then I started having freezing issues. The screen would randomly freeze, or would go black but still be backlit. Then when I would shut it down, I couldn’t get it to turn back on. It was still covered under HP’s warranty, so we sent it in. They said it was fixed, and back and I couldn’t get it on, when I finally did it was immediately freezing, we raised hell, sent it back, and this time they figured out that the storage that is advertised in this product is against the specs of the model, it was added by the seller, and is a known issue for freezing error. They even went so far as to describe problems that we hadn’t told them about (the issues with turning it on, we had only told them the problems with the freezing issue) and I sent the seller messages because HP said the added storage should still be under their warranty and they should be able to fix that and we should be able to get it taken care of, but they won’t respond. So this was a giant waste of money, because I quite literally cannot use this laptop. It won’t go for a few minutes without freezing. And it’s been months we’ve been back and forth with HP and now me trying to get a hold of this seller, and the window to return through Amazon is only 30 and we’re well past that. Hundreds of dollars down the drain. Stick to buying directly from HP. ... show more

I love this computer, very happy with the large amount of RAM and fast SSD. It meets all of my portable needs. It's super fast boot (even with "fast boot" turned off for the reasons below), large SSD, lots of RAM and beautiful touchscreen make this a fantastic computer for most people. The only thing of note is that HP ships this thing with "fast boot" turned on, which means when you perform a "shutdown" of the computer, it is actually hibernating and still using the battery. If you are using it untethered from the power brick, the battery will be close to empty if you leave it in this state overnight. Uncheck the "fast boot" option is Settings and you can preserve your battery when you shut down the computer. Super happy with the purchase. ... show more
