The laptop is very functional. I have a problem getting apps to the homescreen(desktop) and I can't seem to get the hang of Windows 11. It's so different from 10. Windows 10 is much easier to navigate thru. Time will tell after I use it awhile.

While setting up the laptop I noticed that there were two scratches on the laptop in total, one being more of a scratch than the other. Hardly noticeable, although overall it looked brand new. I have no real complaints as of yet while using it. It's what I expected, I knew it is not a computer meant for gaming but more for getting some work done. I can easily open 12 tabs, have a youtube vid running and open a word document but it is not going to run Minecraft on the lowest settings, I mean it can but its unplayable in my opinion. The computer does not come with windows 11 installed, I felt lied too when I got it and saw it running windows 10 In S mode out of the box since the description, title and specs clearly say and show windows 11. (running "S mode" just means running safe mode) It comes with a card in the box telling you how to disable it, but one disabled it can not be re-enabled. The photos even show windows 11. But not to worry, I simply installed windows 11 on my own after a days worth of updates. A quick google search and one youtube vid can help install it. It does not have an ethernet port. But I got an ethernet to USB adaptor to make pages load faster. The camera? It has one! It works, it will get the job done. No issues with any ports or the charging cable, no issues with the mouse pad. Everything feels brand new. In conclusion, this is a decent laptop at its price for getting work done. So if you need a computer to write an essay for school or need to hop in a zoom call then this can work just as good as your phone. Personally I plan to learn and practice learning some programming languages on it from youtube and such. You even have that "Guarantee by Amazon" where you can return it in 90 days or get support. ... show more

Worked fine the first couple weeks. Then it forced installed a 3 hour update and ever since everything lags. Apps like Spotify take 20 seconds to respond to a click, internet pages and searches will take minutes to load, if they load at all. Every tab is unloaded when you click off and has to be reloaded when you click back on. Sometimes it doesn't even respond when trying to shut down or restart. Crashes and gives a black screen frequently. It functions like a 20 year old laptop now in everything but physical appearance. works well, sometimes runs slow but not sure why and im too stupid and lazy to figure it out, but it does what i need it to do, and came very quickly in a secure box inside another box (for some reason), the keypad is very responsive and fun bc it goes clicky clacky, but i dont really get why theres page up and down keys on the right side. but the screen is good and lets me watch (and read) porn in hd. ... show more

I got this laptop to use for work and nothing else. Chrome is constantly running out of memory and crashing, even though I don't have that many tabs open. Plus, I started getting "low memory" messages from Windows a couple weeks after starting to use it. Keep in mind that I have very few programs installed on this thing. Chrome is really the only thing ever running. When I do try to open certain programs, they lag for a long time. I am not sure whether this happens because it's refurbished and has some underlying problem or what. If you have to do intensive work or want to play games, this thing definitely cannot handle it. On the plus side, it is cheap and lightweight, and it's okay when it actually works as it is supposed to. ... show more

Correction: This seller is exceptional. This laptop is in new condition. HP should receive any gripes because the keyboard is difficult to see. The lettering on the keys is white on blue keys and the white should be bolder for ease of reading. ShopAmerica did an exceptional job of refurbishing.
