I purchased this HP Envy laptop, which at the time was being sold for the same price with a 4TB hard drive. After only a few months of use the 4TB HD failed. When I contacted HP support, I discovered that the seller had modified the laptop, voiding the manufacturer's warranty. I had to contact the seller through Amazon's customer service. The seller agreed to replace the HD if I paid to have it shipped to their office. The seller replaced the hard drive but refused to disclose the HD brand they used, raising concerns about its quality. They also installed Windows 11 Pro but failed to provide an activation code. After contacting them several times without a response, I had to get Amazon involved. The seller refused to reply to Amazon, leaving me without a licensed version of Windows 11 Pro. I strongly advise against purchasing from this seller due to their unreliability and lack of accountability. ... show more

I brought a 2TB Hp envy with an extended 2 year warranty. Unbeknown to us the computer had been modified invalidating HP one year warranty and the extended warranty. It took months to get a partial refund. I am around $700 out of pocket. The machine started having issues 7 weeks after purchase. I worked with HP to fix, every month when the system installed software updates. Finally, it went to HP workshop for investigation, and we discovered it had been tampered with only giving us a 3-month warranty. PCOline had it back to their workshop twice - could not fix this issue. It was so hard getting any money back on this PC. They kept saying that the three month Amazon warranty had expired. YOU GET NO PCONLINE WARRANTY and an invalidated HP WARRANTY. Do not buy from this vendor. ... show more

I ordered and received the computer in a timely fashion, but it arrived with a case that showed it had suffered previous battery swelling. This was the reason I returned the first version of this machine. I overlooked this assuming the manufacturer had made repairs, and that the visible swelling Was so insignificant I could ignore it. I powered up the system and attempted to initiate Internet contact without success. I contacted product support support and followed the instructions they provided and together determined the machine was faulty. This brand new HP Envy x360 has been okay for about 2 weeks. I turned it on at 7am this morning and the clock in the right bottom corner of the task bar was showing yesterday at 5pm. I couldn't turn it off because the windows start menu would not come up. I held the power button down for a long time and the screen went blank. It would not turn back on. About 10 minutes later it turned on with a blue screen message CMOS Reset (502). The info I found online show this message on HP laptops could mean that the battery may be bad. There is no removable battery compartment, so this battery is not a user serviceable item. The PC finally restarted on its own and appears to be normal. But for how long? I am not feeling good about this alert, and I am afraid something is failing on this new HP PC. ... show more
