Works well for the money. Getting a name brand laptop at under $300 is not easy, especially one of the well-known brands. Don't expect a high-powered, lightning fast machine. This is for perhaps an older person who may not have a great deal of computer experience or a student who needs his/her first laptop. Of course, HP (and most manufacturers) add their own bloatware which is not just annoying but slows down the processing. Just try to delete as much of it as possible and don't buy anything from any offers you may get (it just feeds the beast). If you need it for checking email, facebook and watching a movie, it is fine. Just realize it will not compare performance-wise to a $1,000 machine but then you are paying a fraction of the price. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. It's been a week since it was delivered and I'm happy with the laptop so far. There are a lot of specs to look at when making a decision for purchase. I probably should have written down what I liked about my current laptop. This laptop does not have lighted keys. However I do like that the keys are raised more than my old Dell laptop. I can feel that I'm actually pressing on the keys on the the keyboard. I'm super light sensitive and the colors are vibrant even on low light settings. The battery life isn't great. I'm 60 so I don't mind that it's not touch screen because none of my previous computers had a touch screen. I am pleased that it's so much lighter than my old Dell. That's likely due to the fact that my Dell laptop worked efficiently for 12 years. The Dell started overheating 6 months ago so it was time to trade up. Speed seems to be good and it looks sturdy enough. Again, it's been years since I've had a new laptop so time will tell. I'll update my review if needed. ... show more

I love this computer it’s definitely not the best for gaming but for 300 dollars and can still run my games and play music at the same time definitely a must buy especially if your kids play Roblox cause it runs pretty good the computer didn’t have a good base value of storage 100gb with Microsoft taking a good portion but thankfully the computer came with a portable ssd (more storage plugged in by usb) I used this computer daily it’s easy to use the battery last a good few hours I haven’t had any problems with WiFi and connected just fine I couldn’t be anymore happy with my best Amazon purchase ... show more

WARNING PLEASE READ!! ⚠️⚠️⚠️ Don’t believe the five star reviews. Of course if you’re younger you won’t have any problems with this laptop because you wouldn’t know what to look for. But as an adult I thought this laptop was going to perform obit not at all super slow for the laptop itself. Opening apps, closing apps, playing games everything is slow. Even the start up is slow. I spent my money on this and regret the other options I could have went for. Main reason I went with this one a decent amount of storage and a little extra ram. I should have seen it had celeron and from what I read online that’s my issue of where the slowness comes from. My CPU isn’t there for this laptop. Pretty soon I already have plans of getting rid of this one and just getting a desktop that’s sad I’m already planning on having to spend more money. Somebody even said the computer seemed to be refurbished and not brand new it does give like it is since it lags so bad. Highly disappointed. ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Price was ok. However I don’t like the AI always popping up and I really don’t like this version of windows. Battery life is good, picture quality is clear. It is worth the money.
