Beautiful computer. Very fast and I like the large 1 TB drive so I can store on notebook many files that I had to keep earlier on a back-up external drive. Touch screen works fine, but don't use much. One complaint is Windows 11. It scrapped my earlier Office pack that I installed on the new notebook and said I must now buy Office 365. I am puzzled because one reviewer stated that the same computer that they bought came with Office 365. Just adding some observations a few months later, not about computer but Windows 11. That aweful software has slowed my wireless country Wifi down from 30 MBps to 3-5 MBps. My old HP notebook still runs at about 30. I've seen on other reviews that Windows 11 does often slow down one's WiFi I've tried many solutions but none work. Too bad this otherwise great computer can't come with Windows 10. This laptop is a powerhouse with 32 GB RAM. The speakers on the laptop are Bang & Olufsen although not real powerful. This is a fast laptop. It instantly turns on and loads data. The shell of the laptop is well made and durable. This is the HP Envy which is the top of the line and well worth the price paid. I had an Acer from Amazon before and had to send it back. I got this for my sweetheart for Christmas. He loves it. I set it up for him and it is fast. Response time is on point and programs load with ease. The memory is spot on. And all I care about is how happy he is. We are an HP household so you just can't go wrong with it. However, every single HP I have had has short battery life because of multiple programs running, open windows. If you read the manual (most do not) you should charge your battery to 100% use it. Let it deplete and then charge again and unplug it. Never leave it plugged in just sitting because you will actually loose battery life and eventually be sending it in for a battery replacement. I have gotten 8 years out of my laptop's by following this general rule and have only recently needed to send my other laptop in for service and a new battery. These are great laptops and you will not be disappointed. However the disappointed will be the new windows software that is installed on it unless windows 10/11 is your thing. Happy computing! It seems like everything is backwards. The WiFi keeps turning off it is difficult to turn back on. The internet keeps resetting. This has been by far the worst experience with any computer I have ever had.

Love the bright 17" SHARP screen, very fast response, also touch screen works well, thus us definitely a well made Unit, my ONLY disappointment is the BATTERY LIFE is MUCH SHORTER than expected, many other Laptops last 10 hours or more 4 is maximum I can get out if this unit, DISSAPOINTING !!!

Laptop arrived as promised with a humorous note from CUK about upgrades they performed. Booted up, initialized, connected, and performed as advertised. We got product & serial numbers from the BIOS then registered the laptop with HP. Contacted CUK regarding how to obtain the Windows 11 product key for our records, and the instructions from CUK worked. Wireless & Blu-tooth are excellent. The sound from the B&O speakers is nicer than on most laptops, and we also got excellent results with speakers & headphones connected to the USB-A, USB-C, and headphone ports. We are happy with how the laptop works with a variety of devices. This works for online classes, home, travel, and zoom conference calls with family & friends. It is not a gaming laptop, but performance is excellent. It uses power, so have sources for USB-C power for extended use. We monitored the processor cores temperatures, and they were fine. If you will use this for gaming, you might want to add a cooling stand. We previously bought a gaming tower PC directly from CUK and have also been thrilled with that product and support from CUK. ... show more

I needed a new laptop for work/home. My old one...it was old and had no storage/memory/anything. This has been great. The speed it starts up and runs is great. I love the large screen. This is big and in the heavier side-definitely not a solid choice if you are traveling a lot with it. Battery life is not the best-needs to be a charged after 4-8 hours. Mine sits on my desk and occasionally to the couch. The touchscreen is a nice feature. I don’t use it much but my daughter does for some online learning activities. She likes it more than a mouse. I recieved my HP laptop today. Was a bit apprehensive about ordering a device on line. Without test driving. But today I recieved my computer. Shipping box was intact with minimal corner compressions on the box. The component was well protected by super thunk bubble wrap.. laptop was as advertised. Good purchase on the face and test drive has good responses with great graphic.. one complaint. HP needs to stop having so many pop-ups I feel like I need a virus protection plan to start up my computer. ... show more
