  • Great Laptop and awesome customer care from Warehouse Tech!
Style: w/o Numpad (Intel Xe)
This laptop meets what I was looking for in terms of speed, memory, style, and capacity! I am enjoying every single feature of it. As I had a problem with the warranty dates, Warehouse Tech, and Miguel in specific, was able to help me solve this issue, he held all the effort in following up in a professional, respectful, quick manner. Warehouse tech. is doing what it promised its customers in its attached letters: meeting the customer's needs and respecting their time and value. Thank you so much, Miguel; thank you, Warehouse tech. ... show more

  • Read THIS Review 3 serious problems after 8 months
Style: w/o Numpad (Intel Xe)
You really don't want this computer, nice as it looks and performs. Why? First, Some idiot decided to put the power button as part of the keyboard above the backspace but inboard of the delete button. OK, BUT (Big BUT) keyboard keys are not designed to be used as power switches and - duh - it failed after three months use. Then it worked again after pressing on it many times and wiggling the finger back and forth. That's not the worst part. You can't replace just the keyboard. What? Really? Yeah, right. You need to replace the entire top of the notebook base - not cheap. I checked on a keyboard replacement service site and they have over one THOUSAND refurbished versions of this keyboard. For a new HP computer model that should give you some idea of the size of the problem. Second. The hinges. Go ahead, search google for HP Envy 360 hinge issue and have a look at the number of people saying the hinge on their computer froze and when they tried to open the lid the screen popped loose with a loud crack - some users getting a cracked screen, others having just the corner of the screen popped loose and unable to open and close the lid. Which is what happened to mine. Then look at the you tube videos (many) about how to fix the Envy hinges and - just like the keyboard - you need to take the entire computer apart to fix it. And I mean the entire computer piece by piece. Sure, you can fight with their warranty service people and get it fixed if either of these fail in the first year (like mine and so many others) but not if you are travelling or if the problems happen one day after the warranty expires. Also, the first thing HP says is "you must have dropped the computer and that kind of damage is not covered by the warranty." Even if you can prove it was not dropped because if it was, there would be some evidence on the metal case - you still run the risk of it being damaged again in transit. Anyway, to make a long story short I found a youtube video explaining how to fix this problem for JUST this version of the computer. It has 10 THOUSAND views!!!!! So I followed the video's directions, opened it up and fixed the hinge problem. The images show you 1. what the left, undamaged hinge looed like - note the skimpy, flimsy plastic with the nuts holding the hinge embedded in it. 2. The right hinge base with the skinpy, flimsy, plastic fragmented causing the hinge itself to press against the back of the thin screen and force it out of the frame. 3. Is what my table looked like after I got it apart. What the images don't show is that the REASON for the broken plastic is because the hinge was tensioned so tight I could not flex it with my bare hands. There are a couple of tiny nuts that tension the hinges under the hinge cowlings. I adjusted them so the hinge could be flexed more easily and added some sewing machine oil. I then used a super strong epoxy called marine weld to strengthen the left hinge base and to rebuild the right hinge base. Put it back together an it's working fine now. Only took about 6 hours - oh, and I ordered a computer repair kit here on Amazon because ONE of the little screws holding on the bottom cover needs a miniscule star-shaped screwdriver tip. Third reason, the touch pad has serious issues - again search the net for HP Envy 360 touch pad problems. From time to time (especially when most inconvenient) I'll tap and drag using the touchpad - like to move a file from one folder to another or to resize a selected area or to highlight some words - it starts to drag then stops and won't drag any further. When you release the pressure to try again it drops the file wherever it happened to stop offering the chance to do an five or ten minute ester egg hunt to try to find the file again. AND sometimes when doing delicate photo editing a the contact continues to be active even after I lift my finger off the pad - so if I was painting or erasing it won't stop painting or erasing. Others with the same problems (or worse) say the touchpad surface is separated from the top on one side - and yup, it's like that on mine, too; flush on the right side about half a mm gap on the left side. In looking at possible solutions I found the touch pad on this model isn't replaceable - like the keyboard issues you need to replace the entire top of the computer, keyboard, trackpad and all. Other models the trackpad is easily replaced. Hey, really, if you have not already bought this computer, stop reading all these comments and buy something else. ... show more

It’s got a nice finish, and look. Produces a loud rattling like the fan is hitting on something. I had to request a fix from Hp. Still waiting for the mail box to ship the computer back to them

  • Motherboard failed after 1.5 yr of use
The motherboard failed 1 year and a half after purchase. Hp technician says that if I change it, it will cost about 70%-75% of the value of the computer. NOT worth it!
