I am so happy with my purchase! I love this laptop. I have a MacBook Pro that I use as my 'home' computer, and I use this one as my 'travel' computer. I take this one with me on vacation, to coffee shops, friends houses, etc. This laptop is fast, easy to use, and holds a charge for a long time, and the price is fantastic. So bought this for my son to watch Netflix, Hulu and prime. It was great. It sat on his desk for two years and it was awesome, he’d watch his movies on it when he had free time. One day he went to watch it and said it wouldn’t turn on. So I went to see what was wrong thinking it was a dead battery only to see it was plugged in. Told him to give it a minute, after 20-30 mins I tried to turn it on and nothing but black screen. Light on side says it’s charging but screen won’t do anything. For something that has been stationary and handled with care it should have lasted longer than two years. He only gets 2 hours max of screen time a day. Sucks. In the market for a new one if this can’t be fixed for a reasonable amount of money. ... show more

My first Chromebook and I am quite pleased with the overall experience and what I can achieve with it LIKE 1. It’s fast - considering the processor or it’s Geekbench 5 score:) 2. The sound quality is decent (the B&O brand may cost more than the entire product) 3. Keyboard and the typing experience are easy to get used to 4. Connection Ports - WOW with 2x USB A, 2x USB C & MicroSD that would be like a Swiss Army Knife usable anytime anywhere. 5. Battery charges quickly, lasts quite long & quiet since it does not have a fan. DISLIKE 1. The screen - viewing angle shift and display colour left a lot to be desired 2. Trackpad - Scrolling is fine but clicking is seriously too firm 3. 32GB storage seriously? - Considering laptops with spinning hard drive back in Y2K have bigger storage (but I assume Chromebook user may choose to use external drive or cloud storage for proper work) 3. It gets quite Warm (only at the bottom) even when running small task Well considering I purchased the Chromebook and delivered it 3/4 around the earth + Tax for USD$201 is quite a marvellous feat (and no where close to that price can I find it here in my country). Also the product is supported by Google until June 2026 now that is quite generous for the product of this price. Be assured that the Chromebook will work with NTFS, FAT and all your normal peripherals by just plug and play (even my mouse with front & back button works just fine). Conclusion: This Chromebook would make a perfect spare laptop at home or for once in a while presentation on external display as it looks like it could take some beating when compared to the more expensive Aluminium laptops. ... show more

This is so far the best priced chrome book that I have purchased. I'm not an expert on these things and as a matter of fact as much as I love electronic gadgets we clash like oil and water. So bearing that in mind and strictly in my opinion I give it 5 stars because it is "simply" easy to use, yet it has the appearance of a high dollar device, if your into that, it fits in well anywhere you go. Wow! Let me start by saying I was looking for something that would start up quickly and assist me in everyday tasks for a counseling practice. I have been blown away by this computer for its ease. If you are a gmail user, this is all you could ever want. If you're looking for something that will power up in less than ten seconds and rarely needs updates, you absolutely need this pc. While not for storage or major downloads, I found this to have everything I need: docs for writing documents, sheets for excel, and the list goes on. The only down side to this computer is that you must be connected to the internet to use most of the features . You can still use stationary items like calculator or access files but you will not be able to access docs or many of the other icons without internet. Overall, I'm in love. Speakers are LOUD! This HP Chromebook is taking the place of a HP laptop with 2 gb of ram which was getting bogged down just about every time I used it. The Chromebook is very fast and the chrome os has not gotten bogged down once.

    • Issues within the first three months and impossible to service

I am completely fed up with HP and this device. I wish I never bought it. It worked for a little over 2 months and then the trackpad would start to lock up randomly to the point it was unusable without a mouse. When I tried to contact HP, I had a really hard time getting help from their support line. They were unresponsive and unhelpful. Finally, I got a hold of someone who let me send the unit in to have it repaired. I had issues with the repaired unit ever since I got it back. It loses video images and and I am unable to get it to connect to external monitors or to cast to Chromecast. Once again, I tried to contact support and had issues getting anyone to respond. As with before, when I did finally get someone, they were not helpful - I feel like I was getting stock answers that had nothing to do with what the problem was. I finally gave up and swore I would not go with another HP device (Chromebook, printer, or other device). It just isn't worth trying if you can't get support because HP is too big and bureaucratic for their britches these days. ... show more
