Ordered sandpaper for my orbital sander got a lot of sandpaper several grits from 40 grit to 1000 grit saved a lot of money and it will do what I need it to do

So I needed new velcro style 5" perforated sanding pads for my Porter Cable palm sander. After reviewing a couple different sellers on Amazon, I made my purchase thru this company, ESPECIALLY since it listed my specific sander as one of the styles that these sanding disc fit. So when I received them and open the package of the large order I had placed, I was somewhat impressed at the quality. The disc had several @ 3/8" perforation holes for the sawdust to be picked up into the dust collector attachment. My PC sander has five holes and their disc has about 9 or 10, so I'm thinking this is a multi purpose disc that fits a variety of other sanders as well as my PC sander. The hole punches on their disc are evenly placed in a circle, so its not like you have to get the disc in a certain orientation to apply it and use it. Stick it on and go to work, right.....WRONG. The disc are 5" in diameter as they are supposed to be, checkmark. The problem is the holes in the new sanding disc DO NOT LINE UP with the holes on my sanding pad backer. Of the five holes on my pad their sanding disc completely covers TWO of my holes blocking them out 100%. The remaining three holes on my pad are only partially open when the disc is applied. The largest opening on one hole is half of the 3/8" opening, so 50%, about 1/3 the size of your little pinky. The other two remaining pickup holes are blocked 85-90%. Bottom line I might have been better off just ordering full 5" disc without perforations and punch my own holes. I took photos but at this time I cannot upload pictures for some unknown reason.......that is why my skills are working with my hands and all kinds of tools... lol... Oh by the way, even though I knew 100% that the orientation of the hole alignment did not matter I gave them the benefit of the doubt and completely rotated their sanding disc 360 degrees to see if the disc would line up with my holes.....NOT... The disc will still sand, but there will be a lot of dust flying around that is not able to be picked up by the port holes to the dust collector attachment. So you might want to sand outdoors on a breezy day and not inside.

These sanding pads don't wear out fast and they don't fly off. When it's times to change the pad it's even hard to get off sometimes I have to practically peal them off. I highly recommend these sanding disc!

Used these discs to refinish a table and four chairs. It is nice to have such a large amount of sanding discs, as well as a large range of grits, but these are definitely not as high quality as other sandpapers like 3M. While using my Ryobi orbital sander, the felt on the back of these discs would often melt off or tear apart long before the sand paper was full used. At one point they even melted so badly that I had to replace the Velcro pad on my sander, as sand paper would no longer stick to it. Because they fell apart so easily, I went through around 2-3 times more sand paper than I usually would for a project like this, which also made it take quite a bit longer. That being said, it is nice to have such a variety of coarseness to use, it’s just unfortunate that they fall apart so easily. In the future, I would rather spend a little more on better quality sand papers than have a lot that just fall apart, like these.
