    • Hasn't worked correctly since I purchased the laptop.
I purchased this laptop back in August. It has not worked correctly since. I have been working with HP Support to get it fixed but still have not had any success. They are now sending a 2nd reboot disk. Each reboot disk takes 3-5 business days to receive so that has taken time from the return window. I have spent more than 8 hours on the phone with them over the past few weeks. HP is saying since I purchased through Amazon that they will not replace the laptop. I realize the return window has closed but was hoping that HP Support would be able to fix it. I would like to return the laptop to Amazon and get a new one. 10/11: Spoke to HP again. They said they have had similar issues with HP laptops purchased from Amazon. The seller has made changes to the hardware. The max memory that can be installed on this laptop is 16GB. The seller changed it and this one has 32 GB which this laptop will not support. ... show more

It runs smooth and fast as all new computers do. I always read the reviews on products before purchase of them. They sway my choice. In the reviews everyone was talking about the backlit keyboard was one of the reasons I purchased this one. It’s not backlit at all. Other than that it seems to be a good one. I’ve always had confidence in HP products but it seems that Amazon is throwing mixed up reviews that do not belong with an item but a different one. My personal, charitable, social life, and professional life revolve around my laptop. So when my old Dell's hard drive started failing, I went looking. I like a big screen (about 17"). I like a 10-digit numerical keypad built into the keyboard. I like a 1 or 2 terabyte solid state drive. I like a non-entirely black keyboard so I can see the keys better. I found that in HP. It is now fully loaded with my software and I have run it thorough shake down cruise. It exceeds my best hopes in every category. ... show more

    • 1990's display technology?
My excitement at getting my new HP laptop was immediately quashed when I realized that HP had put the cheapest monitor I've seen in a decade on the product. You have to be directly in front of the display and at just the right angle to view any image or video without darkening or aberrations of the image. The image is either too light or too dark and there is NO way to adjust for color or contrast. I desperately need a laptop right now to replace a broken one or I would send this HP back. Shame on HP for slapping such a poor product onto an otherwise good computer. ... show more

    • Never Got the Chance to Even Use this Laptop
I was excited to get this up and going considering the nightmare I had gone through with the previous Laptop that I purchased and had to return. However, the darn power cord would not plug into the hole on the side of the Laptop. I couldn't even turn on the darn laptop. I had to send it back to the 3rd party seller. This was the second Laptop in a row that I had to return to another 3rd Party Seller/vendor. Things used to be so much easier when Amazon was the responsible party/seller of big ticket items like this. They don't seem to be doing a very good job of vetting their 3rd party sellers these days. It took me nearly a month to finally get a quality Laptop but I took me purchasing a Laptop that cost more thn $1,100.00 before I received one that functioned properly right out of the box.
