Mirrors are a snap to install, no more than 10 minutes each to remove the old mirror and add the new one. I saw reviews on the gap left at the top after mounting. I had the same thing and my remedie is when bolting down start at the top and then tighten the bottom two accordingly. Worked for me.

Installed on a suburban towing a 35' boat across Mexico, mirrors are perfect and better than I had hoped. I did break one section of mirror glass on the lower portion of the drivers mirror when a passing truck hit the mirror, ONLY this glass broke the rest of the mirror was undamaged! I have been looking for months for a replacement piece of glass but I can't find it anywhere... HELP ... show more

9 month Update: 1 mirror mount broke. These are supposed to be fold-away mirrors, so you can fold them in tight spaces like the stock ones. About the 2nd time folding it the passenger hinge broke. Now the mirror won't snap into the correct angle and just blows in the wind. It also apparently damaged the wires as the power adjustment doesn't work. I loved the mirrors up until now. Guess you get what you pay for. Original review: It works like it should, seems like durable construction, and looks pretty good. Easy to install, about 5 minutes per side with a 10mm nut driver or socket and extension. First issue I noticed is the wire location. As you can see in the pics, the factory mirror has the wire routed through a plastic grommet that snaps into a hole in the door. These mirrors have the wire routed out the corner, and a useless aluminum nub that portrudes through the center hole for no reason. So when you install it, the wire risks being pinched by the aluminum. Not an issue so far, but hopefully it doesn't short out in the future. 2nd minor issue is the foam gasket is a poor fit and shows around the edges if you don't tuck it in or trim it. 3rd issue, like others mentioned, the mirrors do angle upwards because the truck door angles inwards and this mirror mount isn't cambered enough to match. I didn't try shimming it out because the plastic trim barely tightens up against the door as is, so I think shimming would create a gap. Maybe I'll experiment with it later. For now they're on, they work, and for much cheaper than OEM. ... show more

You can't beat the value for the price! They were super easy to install on a '99 Silverado, only 3 nuts on each mirror. Direct wire harness for power/heat, and they look great! I have a slight shake in the upper passenger side mirror at higher speed, but the lower passenger side and both upper and lower on the driver's side are all solid at highway speeds. These are a huge improvement for your field of view while towing a boat or trailer. The mirrors are real glass, not the cheap funhouse mirrors. ... show more

They are nothing overly fancy, but they do the job. Seem to be good quality. I have had them on my 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 now for 4 months. Have no problems they look good and don't shake of vibrate at high way speeds.
