I have only had this HP laptop for about 5 days. It came with the new Windows 11, is very slim and light weight. It was so easy to set up my internet, email, preferred internet accounts, personal MS Excell and Word files and had it up and running in a short period of time. It is very fast and responsive and has great sounding speakers. The only thing I overlooked was to get the back lit keyboard. I normally use my laptop in a lighted room, so I guess it's not going to be that big of a deal. My previous laptop was a 10-years-old 17 inch one that was very heavy. If there was any doubt and contrary to some reviews, it does not have back lit keyboard and it is not a touch screen. The price is the best I've seen anywhere except for a refurbished one. Uninstalled the annoying apps wanting you to do things there way. it was not all that I expected . No ethernet port .What would a small hand full of leds add to the cost , feels cheap and plasticy NOT AS ADVERTISED RETURNED FOR REFUND ! ... show more

I like the speed, and quick response time. Windows 11 is a new game to me, but i'm getting it somewhat figured out. I have had an issue getting the speaker selected to default to stay as default. I've worked with HP to get this resolved, but it's still a problem. Not sure if it's a Windows 11 problem or HP problem. I have less than good vision , and the keyboard is not lighted. The light contrast of the key's for me is difficult to see. I currently use a Logitech keyboard and wireless mouse along with a 28" monitor. This combo works well for me.     • Constant trouble connecting to WiFi

This was not a cheap computer, and I expected better. It's ok, but for the price, it has fewer "bells and whistles" than my last laptop. Not sure why I was asked to rate it on "touchscreen" since it doesn't have one. But the big problem, every time I restart it, it "can't find" my WiFi network. I have the box checked to automatcally connect. Every time, I have to run the troubleshooter and it resets the adapter. Then I get a dialog box that says "trouble with wireless adapter or access point Fixed". Yeah, it's "fixed" but only temporarily. I'm pretty good and working with computers. I looked up the problem, and it was suggested to update the wireless adapter. When I tried that it said everything was already up to date. I'd return this POS, but of course the return window was only one month. Am I really gonna ship this off for tech support? Ugh! ... show more

The device was ok for about 3 months. My only complaint was the lack of a backlit keyboard combined with the light colored keyboard that make the keys impossible to see in certain light conditions. However, after 3 months the network adapter stated failing and I've been going round and round with HP support. It is clearly a hardware failure, but they have made me do a factory reset which is a huge hassle and didn't fix it. After a factory reset that doesn't fix it you would think that the problem is clearly hardware, but they are making me work with another team to continue to try to diagnose it as software. ... show more

Beyond me why silver-colored keys with faint characters imprinted on the keys was used... I also make use of the smaller function keys at top of keyboard and had to add an extra light to the desk and bend over more so I can tell which is which... just a needless nuisance of a poor design choice vs other HP's I've had with black keys and function keys which were larger. ... show more
