Happy with the computer and HP support. Do not like the Microsoft 11 features. The mail provided in 11 version would not bring over contacts (disappointing). I had two of my friends who have been employed by computer companies until recently, and they could not figure out the mail. Did load Thunderbird Mail and it worked like a charm. Turned off the one-drive for now. Was having issues with this product. I was using Microsoft 10 on old computer and did not have the issues I have encountered with MS 11. During set-up it became apparent the keys contained dimethyl phalate and diethyl phalate. These toxic compounds cause a mild irritation for most folks, and cause extreme inflammation and pain others. It was an easy decision to return the laptop, however we decided to try a keyboard cover. This one fits the HP 17-cn0025nr (and several others) - found on Amazon at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08YNM4V24?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 The K-board cover offers the additional advantages of a non-slip surface, spill protection, and makes the keys visible (in your choice of colors!). The Laptop does NOT include a disc drive. i bought this because i work from home. it was very easy to set up, it runs well, good cpu speed for multitasking, nice keys, nice screen, and surprisingly good speakers. the biggest problem i have is the battery life. it's advertised as an average 8.15 hours but i started working 3.5 hours ago with 100% battery life and with battery saver on and performance settings chosen by windows, i'm sitting at 28%. wtf but if i choose best performance but then the text will be difficult to read and everything will just look horrible also, there's not light indicator for the num lock button, as there is for mute, caps lock and power, so when you pressing numbers on the right, if you inadvertently press num lock, you're not typing anything. that can get annoying ... show more

I am very pleased. I waited before I wrote a review to make sure everything was still good. Large screen, perfect keyboard, and very good clarity on screen. No DVD but that's okay because I already knew that and not worried. I bought a mouse to use with it and worked out great. You get free trial for mcafee and it's all setup. I decided to go with Norton but was happy it automatically starts with an anti-virus. Great price and if you are looking for a good lap top go with this one. 1....This seems to be a good computer, fairly reasonably priced, very light and thin. Fast. 2.....I'm not sure yet about the battery. I've had one incident in which the notice came on that the battery was low. Usually, I use it so close to where I plug it in that I use that and am not sure abut the battery. This is the second one, the first had a problem and had to be returned. There was some confusion with HP and Amazon, but Amazon came through for us. However, the return wasn't as smooth as most Amazon returns, possibly because it was a computer. It had to be taken toa store that was further away and that I don't shop at. 3... The silver keyboard is attractive but makes it hard to see. This could be fixed by making the letters thicker, therefore darker. It is, all in all, a good machine. ... show more

Computer arrived as expected, however I strongly encourage not to but HP. Not only does it come with all the expected bloatware like McCafee and whatnot, HP has locked most BIOS features and it can't be unlocked. Can't use a different drive, can't modify boot order, can't set up RAID, can't install Win10. After all I'm a dumb consumer and HP knows best, why should I ever need to change settings on a device I own. Best part is the HP forums where people ask about the advanced bios options not showing up, the support tells them to pound sand and "HP has the optimal performance already set". Avoid HP and stick with Dell, I cannot believe HP has gotten their greasy claws all the way into BIOS settings for crying out loud ... show more
