I feel scammed by the seller. I bought this laptop and a week after I used it, my laptop crashed due to some error code. I contacted HP customer service because it was still new and should’ve still been under warranty but HP said the warranty was voided. The laptop was originally 4G but the seller added more gigabytes making it a 16G laptop and because that change was made by the seller HP wouldn’t honor the warranty. HP offered to send me a usb to fix the problem at an additional cost but said they couldn’t promise the error code wouldn’t keep occurring because of the modification the seller made. I refused to pay for something that wasn’t my fault and reached out to the seller to get a refund. The seller offered a replacement laptop but I didn’t want to be swindled again and just wanted my money back but I never heard back from the seller. After all the back and forth, the deadline for me to return the laptop to Amazon to get a refund already passed. Since TJ seller wasn’t responding, I reached out to Amazon again and asked to speak to a manager that could help me get a refund. The seller should’ve put in the description that modifications were made so buyers are aware before purchasing. Thankfully, Amazon refunded my money despite the return deadline but this seller does bad business, so buyers beware! ... show more

As it turned out this is the exact same computer that I had ,only a big upgrade so I am very use to the computer functionality and I have been very pleased. It is nice to have the new speed!! This is a good computer for the price. Nothing fancy just good quality! The HP Laptop was bought from Amazon (RiteBuy Electronics, 3rd party seller) in October 2024. Now in August 2025, the Laptop does not turn on. The Laptop is still within the one-year warranty. I contacted both Amazon and RiteBuy for a solution. Amazon told me to contact HP (Laptop manufacturer). I contacted HP support (support.HP.com) and I was instructed to open a Case. HP responded closing the case without any additional information. Now Amazon is telling me to contact HP again because this is for HP to resolve. Next time, should I buy the Laptop directly from the Laptop Manufacturer, not from Amazon? ... show more

Probably the worst laptop I owned. Intermittent screen flashes with what appears to be the internal system programs; screen freezes up and now that the one year warranty expired last week, I hear an internal fan sound grinding.
