Uodate- After finally contacting a competent HP rep, we discovered that Amazon allows sellers disguised as big companies like HP. Buyer beware, this product shows to be sold from an official HP account, but turns out it is not. At this moment it is a company called FuelCell. I discovered it upon researching the item with HP. While shopping or viewing the item before purchasing it shows as a new product direct from HP through their Amazon platform, after ordering it shows as FuelCell. Turns out this is a refurbished/ modified laptop. I searched the serial number on the HP site and it shows the item is out of warranty and had been modified incorrectly. The laptop on Amazon shows as a 16gb hard-drive, it is actually a 4gb modified poorly. This is why multiple attempts to reset to factory setting failed, making this laptop essentially a crappy boat anchor. At this point Amazon is refunding me outside the 30 day return as I have sufficient evidence showing the blatant false advertisement as bait and switch they are allowing in their platform. Unfortunately I am still waiting on the reimbursement of the additional 2 year warranty, which only works after 1 year of ownership. Be careful buying online even through a popular company like Amazon. Also if you are in the same boat as me, Amazon will try to charge you a restocking/return fee. Kindly remind them that they are liable legally for their shady sellers posing as authentic dealers. Original post- HP is garbage overall. My laptop stopped working after 6 months. I bought the additional 2 year warranty, which is useless if your laptop breaks under the manufacturer warranty. So I'm stuck dealing with HP. Good luck getting support. The phone number that leads you in an endless loop. The chat which is also a endless loop. I have filed a BBB complaint, in which I am hoping to be fully reimbursed so I can purchase a better product with actual support. Just look up HP customer service reviews and experiences for yourself.

I needed a new laptop for my bookkeeping job & to be used for school work, I'm coming off an old laptop I could hardly run 2 pages on without it crashing, I've been using this laptop for a week & I absolutely LOVE it! I got the 16gb RAM & I can run words, 2 web browsers, listen to music on YT in the background, it is absolutely wonderful. If I had to give a negative, it would be nice if it had touch screen capabilities, & the mouse pad is a little big for my liking, but I think I'll live lol Bonus, love the color, battery life lasts me all day for what I need it for. I convinced anyone that doesn't like this laptop has either high expectations, doesn't know what they're doing, or has not so great internet service, I use it on 2 different networks & it takes literal seconds to load anything.

i needed a new laptop for work so i came across this and out of all the other laptops i checked out this one had the most promising reviews- i took and a chance and so far i am happy with what i got it’s lightweight making it great if you are on the go, the keyboard feels nice and spacious/spread out with big keys, the screen itself is good quality, big bright screen plus the color is such a beautiful red! i’m in the midst of setting it up as i’m writing this review so once i get to check out how the speakers sound and about how long you have til it dies, i will come back and write a little update 😎

This product was ordered on May 1, 2025 and as of June 23, 2025 no longer works. Upon investigation with HP support/support services we learned the PC was in fact modified, which caused the PC to stop working, despite the PC being listed as “new” on the website. This product was alerted/used and is misrepresented on the website as new. Nowhere does the site indicate we are purchasing a used PC that has been modified from the original manufactured state. HP verified the warranty will expire on July 29, 2025. So much for a 1-year warranty. Further, the PC model purchased is sold from HP with 4GB of RAM, not 16GB. The seller has alerted the RAM which HP as well as a local repair company indicates have caused the PC to stop working properly. I have asked to return the product and receive a full refund; however, the seller, National Sales LLC and Amazon Customer Service indicates the 30 day return period is final. I attempted to have this escalated for return consideration and have the seller reviewed by Amazon (as this is clearly a pattern) on multiple occasions (June 25th and June 27th) and was told I would have a response in 7 business days. To date no response from Amazon. Buyer Beware – Amazon continues to fulfill items they know are modified as new.
