  • improvement
Installed on my 17 f150. It's definitely stiffer but not as bad as the helper springs I've tried, it feels sportier. It took out a lot of the squat and feels much more stabile when trailering. It doesn't have the shimmy that it used to have. Not towing it seems to help with the traction and the back end hardly squats under acceleration. ... show more

  • Works better than I thought it would.
This was a piece of cake to install with a little patience and a couple of hours. We hauled a 25FB Airstream with a 2024 F150 Lariat and didn't have any issues on a 6 hour drive. No dog wag or weird sway at any point. It felt very secure and solid and it kept the truck looking level. I would definitely recommend! ... show more

  • So far so good!
Install my 2023, 150 lariat. Increased Hitch hight the back of the truck, two inches. On minimal setting., loose. For towing my boat. And help with normal everyday bumps. Streets are terrible in Denver. Seems to handle the bumps and potholes better. And curb jumps. Ride feels smoother. Hoping it takes away the highway expansion joint jumps, and the warnout concrete vibration. I tried the Rancho nine stage shocks. Took them off and threw him in the trash. Put the old shocks back on. This seems to be the best effect so far for normal driving. Handles well. Highway rough cement and expansion joints. Hardly noticeable. ... show more

  • 2021 F150 King Ranch PowerBoost - towing with comfort and stability.
My 2021 King Ranch PowerBoost has a max payload of 1316 lbs (very low for a new truck) and I needed more assurance towing our 2022 Rockwood Minilite 2509S. Rockwood Minites are notorious for heavy tongue weight (850lbs RAW for a 6360 lbs trailer). I am running an E2 WDH 10,000lb and even though the hitch height is perfectly set (before adjusting the bars and washer), there is quite a bit of read sag, almost to the bottom. Simply put, I needed more assurance for the rear axle weight and support than the 2 leaf springs FORD has decided to move to with their ‘Max Trailer Tow Package’ and #7350 GVWR package. I swapped out the FX4 front and rear shocks for FOX 2.0 Ford Tuned from TC Customs, upgraded the tires (275 60R20) to an E Load tire (295 60R20). Now with my tire PSI set at 60 cold (max is 80), I needed more safety. Enter the RAS. I talked to RAS support and with the YHD they said max space can be set to 2.5mm, or a nickel and a dime thickness, which I did. Install was very easy, the added bump stop relocaters are helpful as well since the 2021 has the auto level headlight sensors on the rear drivers side axle that the RAS would have had issues with for the bump stop. Now loading up my trailer, tongue weight and WDH fully set, my front and rear wheel wells are at 40 1/2 (even) and the front axle has gained 40lbs over unloaded weight. The rear is still holding 600-700lbs but with the RAS I am towing with confidence and control. I am also added Timbren SES in place of the Stock Bump Stop for added towing comfort and control. If you are driving a 2021 F150, I highly recommend you install the RAS even if your towing is light. Loaded and unloaded the driving, comfort and control is vastly improved. Highly recommend 10/10. ... show more

  • Seems to help
They do seem to help with Bunnyhop, on washboard Roads. They do help a little with side to side sway with my 2000 pound camper. If you have airbags, you may have to do some modification of The mounts which hold the airbags. That can be a lot of fun. Overall seems like a good product, and it’s made fairly beefy, easy to adjust. ... show more

  • Easy install actually works
OK bit of a dIY guy I've replaced full spring packs to just adding the hellwing helper spring track bars and half springs this is a great combination of everything the axel and frame are what determines your load compasity so doesn't raise that but on my 2019 f150 at 75 ish I had a lot of body sway to the point it felt like the truck would roll, had a bit of axel wrap and I occasionally have to move 1800lb directly in the bed the body sway and axel wrap went away without replacing springs or shocks and so did the axel wrap and with 1800lb in the back went from the top of the tires in the wheel well to about 3 Inches above the tire and on the highway truck felt in control of the load no big difference between loaded and unloaded ... show more

  • Lives up to all the hype...
Have seen numerous references to the mysterious "RAS" on several F150 forums- I tow a 6000# travel trailer, the truck does an excellent job pulling it, but I kept experiencing "porpoising" of the trailer following subtle highway undulations. Spent about 45 minutes installing, and other than raising the rear bumper about an inch and a half, the RAS did not change the empy ride of the truck. Just completed a 750 mile road trip pulling the trailer and I have to say the truck has never felt so planted. Easily self-installed (I'm over 70 yrs old) in under an hour, and in my books, worth every dime. If you own one of the modern "half ton" trucks and tow a trailer occasionally, you need this addition. ... show more

  • Love RAS
Installed these after a long roadtrip from Texas the Grand Canyon. The added weight from my overlanding gear had my truck squatting pretty bad enough to ruin my front tires. Installed the RAS and got it back to level. Rides great as always and handles the additional weight from my gear perfectly.
