    • Terribly Flawed, Unreturnable
I was so excited to get myself this laptop. It was $900 + which was not cheap but I wanted to start my teaching career with a quality laptop. This thing is UNUSABLE. When I contacted them for help with the issues or asked to return it,unfortunately I was outside of the window to return. They told me to factory reset it which I did. This did nothing to solve the issue. It runs very slow but the biggest issue I have is that the cursor has a mind of its own and darts all over the screen. I cannot even highlight a word in a document or place my cursor into a sentence to make corrections because it goes haywire. Now I'm $900+ out of pocket on something completely unusable that I in good faith can't sell elsewhere. Please buy your laptop elsewhere! ... show more

It's a great laptop, just not what i needed. I expected to use it for school work and gaming. While it was great for schoolwork the gaming wasn't so good.

Zero, nada, 0 stars!! On 11.24.23, I spent 2+ hours with tech support online. Why? I didn't have a laptop screen, it was completely black. I was able to see my screen if I used an HDMI cable from the laptop to a separate monitor. Tech support could not fix the issue and said I should send it in. On 12.8.23, a service support person called and said that my laptop wouldn't be fixed until 1.2.24. I asked if they would send me a loaner? Yes, they could send me a loaner but I would need to provide a credit card number so they can charge $1 for the use of a loaner. I don't give my credit card out and declined. 3 hours later on the same day I declined to give out a credit card number for that $1, I got an email stating that my laptop screen was damaged by me and it would cost $485.43 to repair it. W.T.F. I did not damage it!! The support person then offered me 40% off the repair cost. Why would I pay for something that I didn't damage? Is "SUCKER" written on my forehead in neon colors? Nope. I requested they return the damaged laptop back to me. I got it today and guess what? There is a scratch on it. What I find to be interesting is that remember when I sent it in I had a blank screen/black screen. When i plugged the laptop in today the screen is all white. HP needs to make this right but we all know they won't. i hope that this review can help others NOT buy HP products ever again. I know I won't. This is NOT A TOUCHSCREEN but I knew that when I purchased it by reading other reviews. I love love love this laptop. The keyboard is very comfortable. The boot up is super fast. The large screen is perfect for my old eyes. Most importantly, the price is awesome for what you are getting. I would buy this 10 times over and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new laptop. I did not upgrade to Windows 11 as I prefer Windows 10 but it is a free option if you'd like to. If you are on the fence about buying this laptop, just pull the trigger. It is absolutely worth it and you will not regret it. I strongly believe that this is about the best thing you are going to find at this price point. ... show more

The laptop worked "out of the box" as expected. I'm still not crazy about automatically saving the Docs folder to the cloud but the SSD C: drive is fast and the D: drive is large enough to handle all my files. The screen is not a touch screen and you have to have an external CD/DVD drive but this is the way the industry is heading. ... show more

What can I say about this product? Right out of the box it just worked perfectly.. Well expect that I had to re-install Windows 10 just once.. But after that and getting all the updates, it worked like a dream! The only con I can say is the battery goes by really fast. It also works great under Windows 11!
