Switching out of S mode in Windows 11 Windows 11 in S mode is designed for security and performance, exclusively running apps from the Microsoft Store. If you want to install an app that isn't available in the Microsoft Store, you'll need to switch out of S mode 1. On your PC running Windows 11 in S mode, open Settings > System > Activation. 2. In the Switch to Windows 11 Pro section, select Go to the Store. (If you also see an "Upgrade your edition of Windows" section, be careful not to click the "Go to the Store" link that appears there.) 3. On the Switch out of S mode (or similar) page that appears in the Microsoft Store, select the Get button. After you see a confirmation message on the page, you'll be able to install apps from outside of the Microsoft Store. Dont do it!!! Find another retailer. Second day I had it the screen glitched out for the full day. It came back on the next day and worked for a couple of weeks then screen went blank and I could not use it. Defective, broken or junk, whatever you want to call it. The return process was a nightmare. Amazon , retailer or both made me wait because UPS would pick it up. My prediction came true, UPS never showed up but said they came 3 days in a row. After UPS failed to show they emailed me a return label. I returned it, they said they refunded my purchase but my bank has not received it yet. I looked at Amazon account and they said contact my bank. I did, they dont have the refund!!! Cancel your prime!!! Half the time you dont get what you ordered. Its something different. Order directly from reputable retailers and websites. I will check one more time with the bank tomorrow and then I will take further action!! ... show more

Terrible...it kept randomly cutting blinking off and on, until it finally shut off completely. Customer service literally insisted that I turn it on with their magical tap tap spin in a circle formula, to see it if worked. Between Amazon and the seller I was tricked into thinking I'd get a refund, but they really wanted to exchange it. Amazon sent me to the seller and the seller sent me back to Amazon..and of course..tap tap.. I refused the exchange, and they sent a return box to my address anyway.     • Frustrating Update Loop
Had to contact the insurance, Amazon, Amazon technicians, and Seller just to go through many different options for me to just get refunded and return the computer. The computer’s screen kept blinking out then it went through an update loop where it would request to be updated then afterwards a notification would pop up saying “something went wrong on our end”. It would then request to be updated again and again along with other black box pop ups. Not sure if it’s windows, Hp’s, or the seller’s fault but it’s a frustrating situation to keep explaining to multiple people again and again. I really didn’t like this laptop. It’s so slow despite the specs and the capacity. Every now and then something happens with the system and starts running very strangely. Don’t like the image quality on the screen neither. I wouldn’t buy this again.
