We have wood butcherblock countertops in our entire kitchen and I didn’t want to seal them with a varnish. I’ve tried mineral oil but it continues to leave an oily residue on anything paper you leave lying on the counter. I tried paste waxing them and it did a nice job of sealing/ waterproofing them but the process is very labor intensive. This product is easy to apply , seals & waterproofs them and is relatively easy and not so labor intensive to apply. The price on Amazon is lower than most stores that carry it in town. Used this (and continue to do so) to test & protect butcher block countertop on kitchen island. I first applied many coats of butcher block top mineral oil, and now use this (with carnuba wax added) to regularly (once/month) condition. Looks great and has protected the surface during use.
