I’ve been using the Hoverfly X5 for about a week, and it’s been a solid upgrade for getting around. Riding within my subdivision is quick and smooth, and it handles neighborhood streets just as well as city ones. Small hills aren’t an issue at all, and the acceleration feels steady and controlled. The suspension definitely makes rides more comfortable, even when the pavement isn’t perfect. I like that the battery lasts long enough for multiple trips before recharging, which saves a lot of hassle. The honeycomb solid tires are another win—no flats to worry about. Folding and storing the scooter is simple, and the electronic code lock is a thoughtful security touch when I leave it outside. I even tried the walk-assist mode once when the battery was low, and it worked better than expected. After riding this thing around every day for a couple weeks, I can say that I'm truly impressed. Very heavy duty metal frame that I feel comfortable on as a 200lb 6ft man. Acceleration is zippy and I love the cruise control feature, saves your thumb from getting tired on long straight aways. Handles well and can turn on a dime, with grippy handle bar covers. Front shocks provide smooth ride when going over bumps. Battery life is great, lasts longer when in standard mode going 15mph and not uphill a ton especially if you're lighter I'm sure but I've been able to go many miles and hours on a single charge plenty for most people's needs. Bright headlight and tail light make it legal and safe to ride at night. Has bell to alert nearby people also. Solid disc breaks make for rapid stopping power even when going max speed down very steep hills. Overall I'm happy with this product and compare it to several I've ridden that costed substantially more money, if you're worried about longevity just pay for the insurance. ... show more

I’ve been using the Hoverfly X5 scooter for a while now, and it’s been a solid, reliable ride. The build quality is great for everyday use, and the scooter performs exactly as advertised. What really impressed me, though, was Hoverfly’s customer service. I had a small issue with a part, and their support team responded quickly, clearly, and professionally. I couldn’t be happier with my Hoverfly X3/X5 electric scooter! From the moment I unboxed it, the build quality impressed me. It feels sturdy, well-made, and built to handle daily use. The foldable design is great for commuting since it’s easy to store under a desk or in the trunk of my car. Performance-wise, this scooter is pretty powerful. The 500W motor delivers smooth acceleration, and the 20 mph top speed makes getting around the city quick and fun. I can comfortably hit and maintain speed without any wobble, and the solid tires combined with the double suspension system make for a surprisingly smooth ride, even over uneven pavement and small bumps. The battery life is excellent, depending on terrain and speed, I can easily get close to the advertised 18–25 mile range on a single charge. I have an X5 that ended up with problem. It would power on, as i get to the unlock screen i was unable to use the center button to toggle digits to enter my passcode. Prior to this issue it had shutdown on me mid ride a couple of times. I have a feeling it has a controls or interface issue. It was only a few months old and has been loved!! I reached out to Hoverfly via their support email address on 2/3 and finally got parts to fix it on 2/27. Its back up and running again thanks to product support from the supplier. ... show more
