I use these riding a Vsett 10 scooter cruising on average 35mph. Some moron pulled in front of me and I clipped his back quarter panel at 35mph wearing these pads and they saved soooo much of my skin from peeling off my body. What you see pictured are the right side elbow and knee pads that took the brunt of the pavement. The wrist guard did its best and I only got a fracture though I scrunched my hand into the van. Prior to the wreck the knee guards were already ripping apart just from regular use after 2 months, right at the top of the pad where the elastic strap is sowed to it. I was still using them but because of this tear the pad didnt protect well above the knee and the van's sheet metal gouged me pretty good. For $9 I should've just bought another pair, so that's my own fault. I'm buying another set of these though, they did exactly what I needed em for. Also, I've tried a couple of other pads under $30 and these were by far the most comfortable and durable (ironically).

The listing says for ages 11+ at the top, then says for ages 8+ about mid-way down the page. The tag on the item that arrived says 14+. Come on Hover-1, it’s not that difficult to put accurate info about your products. These are for my 11 year old for Christmas, to go with some inline skates I bought him. I tried the knee pads on to judge sizing (I’m a 5’5” 140lb woman, and they were too small). In the end, the set will probably be ok. But seriously, fix the errors.

I purchased this set for my snowboarding trip to Big Bear. The season has been pretty dry so the snow has been man made and hard. I use all three sets for my knees, elbows and wrists. They fit comfortably underneath my clothing and over if you prefer. The value for the money is amazing, they are slip resistant & great protection on impact! Highly recommend for safety.

I was enjoying how nice my gears were; the quality(before actual bad fall), the style. Since I received my gears, I had not have a bad fall because I was constantly practicing on my skates. Then I stopped due to bad some reason and bad air quality. Until two days ago when the sky was clearer from wild fires in Bay Areas, I was out to skate and had a bad fall. The "leather" part on my palm, became such a mess(peeled off/broke badly-tried to upload pictures but somehow it says unsupported file type on Amazon). All at a sudden I worried, because I then realized these gears would not protect me after one real bad fall. That comes to a surprised. Just sharing with the rest who is trying to buy this.

The first time my daughter went skating she fractured her wrist. I searched many pad after that event. Discovered this brand and they were having a promotion. I ended up buying the medium and a large for my kids. Medium fit perfectly on my son and the large what is comfortable on my daughter. They get used at least once a month. They have held up nicely and they still looking new. She uses them for everything from rollerskating to skateboarding. I would highly recommend.
