Description

The Hover-1 Journey Max doubles the power of the baseline Hover-1 Journey with its 700W dual motor setup and provides a thrilling ride experience. With a dual motor E-Scooter like Journey Max, you can power through steeper hills without losing speed and feel a greater rush of acceleration every time you engage the throttle, much more than you ever could with a single motor E-Scooter. Journey Max’s wider, longer foot deck provides more standing room and comfort for long trips. A high performance rear disc brake provides excellent stopping power. The upgraded LED display is more visible in bright daylight conditions, and the revamped two-part folding mechanism and safety latch reinforces steering column stability. Ride faster and travel further with a top speed of 19 mph and 26 miles of range. Feel the rush with the Hover-1 Journey Max.

  • Big city commuter DC
DC commuter here! Best investment I made to save myself time to and from the metro station leaving my car at home! Before buying this the reviews on the breaks almost made me not get this scooter. Please know all the ppl saying the breaks are too harsh have never driven a car before. You do not ever break hard in or on any vehicles. The breaks are smooth when you apply them smoothly. Yes if you slam the breaks hard you will stop hard. Typical physics. I’m very pleased with the breaks and the overall ride. Air was needed for the tires out the box but I was still able to do 2 rides after unboxing. This is where a portable air pump for my car came in handy. The 19 mph feels fast when riding. It does drain my battery a bit with the amount of hills in DC & MD + my weight (210lb 5’11 female). I do about 5.6 miles (42 minutes round trip) commuting and I usually get home with 1 battery bar left from a full charge on Sport mode. Light on the scooter is good at night to see all the city pot holes. Definitely recommend this especially if it’s on sale! Great ride and no issues so far. I’ll be buying back up tires to have on hand asap! Can’t believe I didn’t invest in this sooner. ... show more

  • Lacking
Do not waste your money. Hover 1 does not sale individual parts for there product. Additionally the front fork is a weak part on the journey max which leads to a horrible wobble at moderate use. Dual motor power for hill climbing is the only positive for this scooter. Stay away!!!

  • Rocket. Ship.
I've tried so.. so so many scooters that claim to be hill climbers for "payloads" up to 265 pounds.. and while I'm still dealing with the thought of being referred to as a "payload" ..none but this one could really rip me up a hill. I'm a 40yo guy that weighs about 230 pounds - a combination of baby fat my mother tells me I'm bound to lose sooner or later, and Covid weight gained from a year spent on my couch playing GTA and consuming adult beverages at a fevered pace. That being said. This thing moves. It's fast and fun. It pulls me up hills way steeper then they claim it can, and accelerates hard..But the brakes. They're either on or off. And there is no adjustment for it. It's the regen for the motor/battery. Just learn to lean back when applying them, you'll get used to it. Basically this beauty with throw you backwards, and throw you forwards, but man.. it'll get you up a hill at an alarming pace. Even more so if you aren't a 40 yo, 230 pound dude. You won't get anything better here for inclines. Trust me. No matter how expensive they are. I've tried, and returned them all but this one. ... show more

  • The only downside to the great scooter
Honesty I've thrashed this scooter for over 6months now and it's still kicking as strong as it was out the box. minus my weather guard that broke off. It can take a beating, I wanted something fast and cheap and this is exactly what you get nothing fancy but quick for the price, the dual motors make this thing accelerate very quickly. And the breaks are extremely sensitive now the big problem with this scooter are the tires they come with THEY SUCK! and I blew both out within the first 2months of use (I only use it on the weekends to get to work) so if you're going to get this scooter, I highly suggest purchasing 2 tubeless tires to install as soon as the stock ones blow other than that. The scooter is The best thing you can get for the price. If it came with tubless tires from factory, I would give it 5 stars. ... show more

  • Hover 1 customer support and warranty are non existent.
It's actually a decent product for the price, what you get, decent acceleration/speed, decent range, decent hill climbing ability, what you don't get is any customer support. If you have any issues your on your own, hover 1 does not back their products in any way. You cannot call anyone and the only way to contact them is through a service ticket which they do not respond to. The phone number is a dead end that says all agents are busy submit a ticket. Not servicable or repairable and replacement parts are almost non existent, and in the event you are able to return something or have it repaired, all costs for shipping and repairs are the consumers responsibility. ... show more

  • There is way better for less money
This thing is junk, it barely goes 5 miles round trip, & once you get under 60% battery it throttles the acceleration by a lot. At 40% it locks your top speed to 13 mph. & hill climber is a joke. I can stop this thing by putting my foot down & holding down on the accelerator at the same time.

  • Fun to ride and easy to store
I weigh 200lbs, and with dual motor’s on, this scooter pulls hard up hills, I’ve owned it for 1 year and no problem's. I’ve had back surgery and this is the only E anything i can ride that doesn’t hurt my back. 👍👍

  • It really does climb hills
This is my commute scooter. It's not the most comfortable on bumps, but it's powerful for hills. It also can speed around at a great pace. Battery is reasonable for my commute. It does lose some speed after the battery reaches its end, but it runs along reliably.
