Haven’t used it for ironing but rather sitting in top of my dryer to keep it clean. Like the magnets. Stays in place well. Not sure If I’d use it for ironing because of its size and I think too much of the shirts (or whatever) would hang off and touch the front of my dryer that can get dusty/linty.

This is a good alternative for small places and easy set up. The magnets hold the mat securely to washer or dryer top. Awesome for small jobs. I'd still prefer a standing ironing board for button up shirts and alike to have easier maneuverability for the whole shirt.
