Everything is delightful: the hotel itself, the village, the sea, the clothes, etc. Even if some scenes were filmed in Croatia, you feel you are in Italy. The main character, a British lady who is running the hotel, is a great actor. She really has a lot to do to entertain those different people and keep the hotel running to the level they expect from her, especially with a husband who does nothing and the chief of the local police who is a crook and blackmails her. I highly recommend season 1 and season 2. ... show more

Season one was promising for a fun adventure in Portofino with diverse , interesting and funny characters! As the seasons go on it becomes dark , conniving and deceptive! What started off as a nice period drama became too dark to enjoy ! Even the hotel which was once light and airy was painted dark colors !! Disappointing! I hope season 4 is promising and more enjoyable!! Enough of the doom and gloom!! ... show more
