I gave this to my son for Christmas and he used it for about 10 minutes after hitting a wall to find the wheel was broke off. Now I have no clue as to how hitting the wall would cause the plastic joint on the steering to break as it did seeing that the people who engineered the toy had anticipated the car hitting things here and there. I’m sure it was a manufacturing defect or shipping issue. BUT, my five star rating goes to the customer service department who responded to my email in a timely matter and had replaced the entire toy without a giving me a hard time what so ever!! My son loves this toy and had no issue with the replacement. I know if there were any issue with it, I’m sure customer service won’t be a problem.

The car and free software (used on PlayStation) is a blast to play. The augmented reality of the in-car camera and the video game add-ons make for very fun play. It connects via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to the game and you get to see what the car sees along with what the game overlays. It really needs a good amount of room to make decent tracks, so make sure to think where a car would be driving around your house (if you have a solid Wi-Fi Signal, you could put the car outside too). The only thing I haven't found yet is where you can set the steering trim (i.e. if it starts pulling to one side) like you can on remote control cars. You can have more than one car on the track at a time with a friend (on top of the game adding cars to race against as well). If I can find the trim setting (because after a crash into a chair let, it pulls slightly left), I would give it 5 stars. I'm probably missing that setting somewhere.

I wish I had this when I was a kid! The set up is easy, the video quality is great, and the car is easy to steer. The car doesn’t go very fast, but that makes sense considering it is streaming a video to the screen at the same time as it’s driving.

This really is such a good game. We love making tracks around our house and watching the cats on the tv watching it as it goes around a turn. I wish we had this when I was a kid. Great picture quality and great controls. No complaints here

When I was initially making this purchase I was very excited about the assumed potential of this fancy little car. The lack of Xbox compatibility was disappointing, but it is somewhat redeeming that it works with my iPad and a bluetooth controller. The video game itself is pretty neat, and the fact that the Chameleon car has lights that change with the color of the car selected within the game is cool. It's the Chameleon car itself that is kind of a let down, though. The product claims that the speed, handling, etc all change to reflect the capabilities of the various cars in-game, but if it does change it's such a small difference as it's not to be noticed. On the game screen the changes are obvious, and you can see the tricks you're performing, but the Chameleon is unfortunately lackluster. No, an RC car can't perform a legit smoke show, but maybe just a little something-something more than a webcam on wheels with a strip of color changing lights would improve the experience. My son was very excited to start playing with this, but has lost interest after the first few days.
