This is a great blow dryer. I blow dried my coily/kinky hair on the lowest setting and am very pleased with the results. The brush was also easy to clean when I was finished. Originally, I had the Revlon equivalent. That brush stopped working properly after about 6 months. Air would only blow out of the top half. I wish I bought this one first before wasting money on another brand.

Trying to save money on professional blowouts, I figured I’d try buying the ProTools barrel. I purchased the barrel dryer with paddle and separately purchased the 2.3 inch oval volume attachment. The paddle works okay. It generated a worrisome ruber smell while drying. Wondering if that will go away over time. The 2.3 inch oval attachment however? Wow. Just wow. So impressed with how easy this was to use. My hair was stick straight with and SO glossy. I seriously blew my hair out while sitting on my sofa watching TV. I’m immediately buying all the attachments. I am TERRIBLE at hair styling. If I can use this for a professional level blowout, anyone can. Game Changer!

I have thick hair no perm, first used it on high heat but changed to low cause it does blow out pretty hot. The connecting brush is a plus as it detangled my hair so nicely whereas I didnt need to use a flat iron afterwards and did in less time than my old dryer. I have to say the weight of this dryer is a little heavy on my wrist but it could be due to the amount of time I had to use on each section on my hair cause it was just that tangled after I removed my braids, lol but overall Great dryer, would recommend!

Love this thing. I LF I can comeback and insert pictures I will. But so far it’s been working wonders for me. I do not do my own hair because it’s really thick and although I cut it off a while back it’s still slalom for me to manage in its short state. I do have 4c/4b mixed hair and as long as I set angle really well, this gives me know problems. If you don’t frequently do your own her like me, I would suggest making sure your hair stays wet before blowing it out. I’ve seen people blow dry their hair dry and get a nice blowout but I feel this worked best for me when my hair was wet first. That could be due to it being coily but just thought i would mention. I see that it mentions travel in the rating. I do wish it came with a case of some sort, but I would suggest you purchasing one to keep it in. I currently keep mine in the bix until I am able to give it a forever home in my new place.

This dryer is just okay for me. I have 4c hair and I thought this would be an easier way to dry my hair before braids. I use a paddle brush to detangle my hair (a big time saver) so the idea of a paddle brush hair dryer sounded amazing. I washed, deep conditioned, detangled, twisted the hair, then when it felt damp (not wet but cool to the touch), I unraveled the twists, sectioned and brushed through with my regular paddle brush, then proceeded to use this dryer. It felt like it was just sitting on my hair, not brushing and drying. I couldn’t go through my hair with it like I would a regular brush. The bristles felt bulky and so did the heating unit. I felt like I was hitting my hair, not brushing it. Even on high, the blowout looked like a medium heat blowout from a regular comb dryer. To sum it up, if you have finer hair, this dryer might work for you. If you have thick hair, it’s worth a try but don’t expect too much. I’m going back to a comb attachment on my hair dryer because that gives me a better blowout.

I LOVE this thing! I am completely inept at blow drying, and so in warm weather I actually just let my hair dry naturally. But I have to leave my house before 6:30 AM, and in below freezing temps in winter. So I needed a FAST way to both dry and style my hair at once. It's a little longer than shoulder length and layered, and my natural hair texture is thick and too wavy to be straight and too straight to be wavy. So it needs help to be one or the other. This thing dried it in five minutes start to finish! That's impressive by itself, but it was also smoother than I have ever been able to get my hair by myself. A stylist can do it with a brush and a blow dryer, but I can't. This combines the two with a handle that doesn't hurt your wrist. If you are a styling klutz and are wondering if this will work for you, the answer is YES!!
