It's a tent. About standard to set up. However, the fact you can open and prop up one side makes it a nice option. It fits several people easily and feels sturdy enough for a tent. I'm happy with the item.

Hey there. So I bought this tent to go backpacking with and I did a test run with it in my backyard. First thing wrong is that it can with the wrong instructions so I was already at a loss for how to set it up. Then when I did get the different stakes, poles, and lines set up it just didn't feel very stable. Like I'm sure the material is water proof but I wouldn't trust it in a storm because I'm fairly sure anything stronger that a light breeze would cause it to collapse. Ant the poles don't even stick into the ground so they aren't very stable. Maybe I just did it wrong because I don't have the proper instructions but it still seems rather unstable to me. ... show more

This would be great for a couples or solo backpacking trip! I wouldn't say that it is a super easy setup, but once you figure it out, it obviously gets easier and faster. Bring a small hammer or find a rock to tap the stakes in!

Excited to go camping now! This is easy to pack, light, and easy to assemble. Seems to fit two adults comfortably. Most importantly, it will keep the dust and sun/heat out with the canvas extension, which is awesome when you just want to chill after a hike, or with morning coffee.
