As I age, I notice my face looking more and more as if it was in a fight when I wake up in the mornings. My eyes get super puffy. In trying to preserve what youth I have left, I bought this eye mask. The band that wraps around your head is thick and well made. There's adjustable Velcro in the back to adjust to where you need it. The mask is soft on one side and see through plastic on the other so you can see the cute little beads as you squish them around. I usually freeze mine and use it to cool my eyes in the morning. Helps me wake up and helps reduce puffiness. I have also been known to turn this around and use it on the base of my neck for bad migraines. The cold lasts for about 15-20 mins (as recommended by professionals) so no damage can be done to your tissues. When heating it, the warmth lasts longer because it's up against your body, which is also warm. (Pretty sure you could have figured that out, but I just wanted to be thorough). At night it helps me keep my eyes closed. I have insomnia, so if I can physically keep my eyes closed while doing a breathing meditation, this helps me sleep well. It doesn't make things super dark, but more natural like the color the back of your eyelids look when you close them. That doesn't bother me at all because I've slept wonderfully.

I LOVED this mask! Please note that I did not use it as a "sleeping" mask. I used it as a hot and cold mask. You can warm it up in the microwave to help relax your eye muscles. It feels soothing after a long day from being on the computer. Be careful! The beads get super hot after microwaving. If they don't feel hot to you, squish the mask around. It'll help warm up the beads. It really does feel like a spa treatment when it's warmed up. I loved that you can chill it in the freezer to help depuff your eyes in the morning. The chilled eye mask helped relieve some sinus pain from my allergies as well. I like using it chilled before I started my daily routine. The only thing I was very confused about was which side touched directly on my eyes. I assumed it was the plastic side with the beads because the fuzzy side would get dirty very quickly. Not to mention that the mask didn't feel as hot or cold from the fuzzy side. I wish the instructions were a bit more clear. But overall, I loved the mask. I would recommend it for anyone who works long hours staring at their phone or computer. Overall, I'm super happy with the product. Been using it all week and will probably keep using it as part of my routine!

I like the weight of this mask. When using it heated or chilled, the product works well. As a sleep mask, I prefer darker colors, because they block out more light than this pink one does. The fabric that this is made with is super soft. The straps are a little bit short, and while they do stretch, the Velcro gets stuck in my hair (depending on which side of the mask I place against my eyes.) I really like this mask for self soothe purposes and am happy with this purchase.

I really love this sleep mask. The product comes in this cute pink color with such a soft material. The fitting was perfect and I didn't need any adjustment. I wasn't familiar with the brand before but I'm so glad I purchased this to try. Grace&Stella Co. has so many interesting products and the best part is, not only that it has so many options to choose from, it's very affordable. I usually warm up the mask and use it when my eyes feel a bit tired or irritated. I will use it cold when I have a headache, it really does help relieve the pain and feels very soothing. I also enjoy the fact that the mask can be used on both sides, the soft fabric feels so soft and comfortable and it blocks the light the whole night.

I woke up with a sinus headache this morning and decided to try this sleep mask to see if it would help. For years I used the hot washcloth over the eyes routine where the washcloth would cool too quickly and then I'd have to get up and go through running the water until it's hot, wringing it out, etc. I put my Grace & Stella Sleep Mask in the microwave for 10 seconds, put it over my eyes and staggered to the recliner. (I would suggest you stagger to your recliner first and then put the mask on unless you like to bump into other pieces of furniture.) I don't know how these amazing little beads are made but they warmed to the perfect temperature and retained the heat for a much longer period of time than I thought they would. The inside of the mask that is against your skin is made of a very soft material that felt wonderful. As a plus, the little beads are fun to poke around gently with your finger. I'm really pleased with the quality of this product and how effective it was reducing the pressure and pain of the sinus headache.

I would have given this mask a 5-star rating, because the first night I tried it, it was wonderful. I heated it in the microwave for about 30 seconds, and literally fell asleep with it on. However, it had cooled down a bit too quickly so I wanted to try it a little warmer. So, on the following evening I set the microwave for 1 minute, figuring if it was too hot, I would just let it cool down for a bit. Somewhere around 40 seconds, I heard a "BOOM" and ran to investigate, and to my surprise, the package containing the beads had exploded. The beads themselves had not exploded, nor the inner plastic between the beads and the soft mask, just the outer plastic. Now, mind you, this is really my fault - the instructions on the package say to heat it in the microwave for 10-15 secs, testing it on your wrist before applying it to your eyes - but I was pretty surprised that the plastic burst open, not to mention that 10-15 secs was just not really going to warm it enough. I am re-ordering a new one, because I really did like it, but I think that I will heat it using a much lower power setting on really short bursts. You need to be careful not to overheat it.
