I read so many reviews that this little straightener was great and traveled well. So I was excited to have a smaller straightener to pack during my travels, but I wasn't impressed. The straightener took so long to straighten my thin hair, and it never stayed straight. Yes it's compact and small, but the durability didn't seem too promising. Important things to know: 1.) This tool is very small, in my opinion it's meant for bangs. It fits, nearly entirely, in my hand and I have small hands. It fits very nicely in just about any small cosmetic bag. 2.) There is no automatic off. This tool will stay on until manually turned off or unplugged. 3.) The units on/off switch is placed inside the two sides about an inch + down from the plates. 4.) The unit lacks a selectable temperature setting. This tool heats up relatively fast and I find it easy to use. I use it my bangs however I've also used it on the very ends of my hair a couple of times. I did find it time consuming to straighten my ends and feel that using my full size flat iron would've been faster and more efficient. But when putting a little curl or bounce to my bangs it is perfect. While the on/off switch is not difficult to access it isn't really accessible either. I have small fingers and I have to really pay attention when turning it on/off... Not a task to perform when groggy or half asleep. In summary, for the price paid this tool does the job for which I intended. I would gladly purchase again. ... show more
