This was a Christmas gift for my son & daughter-in-law and their 3 cats. This thing is epic! Perfectly packed, and went together like butta. It is a project though, and will take a few hours to assemble. Instructions are very good, and all the hardware and pieces are clearly marked with letter stickers. The faux wood top is gorgeous. Love that the back is open with the bars instead of a closed in solid wall. If you're wondering if you can use this for cats, you can. The openings between the bars are 2 in and too small for a cat to get through. A kitten would be a different story though. Also love the large self closing drawers, which provides lots of storage. The only con I can mention is that that the box is quite heavy, so you will need some strong people to move it around. I used a hand truck to get it in my house. ... show more

I bought this because of the review with the video where the big white dog escapes the kennel by using his tongue to lift the latch. I cried laughing at that review! I shared the link to that review with everyone I know so that they would laugh as well, and sure enough, they all did. That is one smart dog! My dogs, on the other hand, are small and do not possess the same level of intelligence! LOL! Their tongues aren't long enough to reach the latch! I mostly built this entirely by myself in a few hours. I only needed my kid to help me lift things once or twice. I love it. It is a handsome piece of furniture. I love that it serves double duty, working as a kennel and a TV stand. I especially love the 3 drawers. Very convenient for storing their things. I am switching the color scheme of my furniture from grey to white, and I love that this kennel is white and sturdy. I had the regular old-school wire kennels for them, and they were so noisy. This kennel makes no noise when they scratch themselves. I have two girls and one boy, and i keep the girls on one side and my boy on the other. I love that I can keep them separate. This kennel is worth the investment, even with that silly review with the video! To the owners of that dog, please give him an extra treat from me! ... show more

This is a beautiful, well-made piece of furniture and feels very sturdy once assembled. One of my favorite details is that the spindles are not wood, which gives me peace of mind knowing my dogs can’t chew through them. The faux wood top is in two pieces, not one. I’d have preferred one piece but it’s fine. I love the drawers! I have this in my mudroom and I couldn’t be happier with it. I had a handyman assemble it, and it took about 1 hour and 40 minutes, which felt very reasonable for something this substantial. Before assembly, I spray-painted the pulls and latch bronze gold, and they turned out great. I do plan to paint the visible nails white eventually, but that’s purely cosmetic and not an issue with function. If I could have a do over, I’d paint those white before assembly because they do stand out. For size reference, I have a 14-lb Cavalier and an 8-lb Pekingese, and they are both very comfortable inside. The spacing between the spindles is perfect for small dogs. They can’t squeeze through or escape, which was a concern with other crates I’ve researched. I mainly use this during the day when I’m not home, since my dogs tend to get a little ornery and chew things when left out. They’re still puppies under 1yrs old. It keeps them safe without looking like a typical kennel, and it blends nicely with furniture. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this purchase and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a functional dog crate that also looks great in the home. ... show more

This has been one of my best purchases so far. I have 2 small yorkies and this is perfect because they have space for everything - their bed is on one side, their “bathroom” is on the opposite side and they have plenty of room in the middle to play. I call it their new apartment. They love it so much that even when the door is open they rather go inside and rest. The drawers are large and deep. The quality is great!! It’s nice and sturdy. I added a standard size runner and add puppy pads under it in case of an accident (so the wood floor doesn’t get wet). I also added led lights. We did have to reinforce the latches, as they were a little noisy (rattle) and it unlatched once or twice on their own (just by the dogs pushing on the doors). directions were easy to follow, but took a long time to put together, about 2 1/2 hours to complete the whole thing. Although not required definitely recommend using your own tools to put together for more time efficiency.

This furniture crate is perfect. Whomever gave it low stars did not build it correctly. It looks perfect, and the size is great. We use it for our 2 dogs, a standard sized golden doodle and a daschund. The build is a bit complicated, but its definitely worth it. Better to build with someone helping. The gates do lock, and the drawers are great for storing your pets snacks and such. ... show more

The cage looks great and is well designed overall, but unfortunately the bottom broke within just a few weeks. When assembling it, we already suspected this part might not hold up long-term. We do have an 80-Ib husky who enjoys his own space, so that's a lot of weight for faux wood and screws to support. Aside from the bottom, the rest of the cage is solid and well built. We plan to reinforce or rebuild the base ourselves because the structure itself is worth keeping. One other thing to note: it only took our dog a day to figure out how to unlatch it from the inside. Thankfully, there are spots where you can add a lock to prevent this. ... show more
