  • Simple siphon starts
Color: Blue
I routinely keep some gas for purposes like a generator in power outage, but use it in cars to rotate it every few months. Using a siphon pump like this can make the transfer easier. While I'd used a manual pump in the past, they often came with an intake tube that was about the same length as the outlet tube making it a bit hard to get a siphon going. This one has the outlet tube much longer to give you more to work with as well as the electric pump to start it. You can use it with the nozzle if you want the quicker way to stop flow, yet I listen for the car tank to "girgle" when near full and can lift the intake tube to stop the siphon flow (although it will continue flow for a few more seconds as the tubes empty out). Part of why I do that is to avoid the "water hammer" slams when you release the nozzle valve (that can almost pop off the hose joints and give you a mess). The nozzle goes on a barb fitting with a wire "clamp" you squeeze to release and slide over the joint (so it's not a high pressure hose assembly) I noted online the ads showing "Gives you 2.2 gal/min", yet the box says "up to 7 quarts/min" showing differences in ads. I'm not worried about a slight flow difference (and won't measure it), but I don't like seeing ads with big numbers followed by different things on the product. This isn't a 50% difference, but is ~70% showing more than a tiny difference. ... show more

  • Handy pump to top feed my indoor garden!
Color: Red
I got this pump to water my plants. I mix the nutrients in a 5-gallon bucket, stick the pump end into the bucket and apply to the top of the soil using the spout and it's 3ft hose. I love how the handle can be rotated to lock the spout open(shown in photos) so that I can also use the pump to mix the nutrients in the water as well. It's so convenient! I wish there was a plug to use this in addition to the batteries but it was designed to be portable. It uses either 2 D batteries or 6 AAA batteries. There are no leaks anywhere and it has held up to all the abuse I've thrown at it. ... show more

  • Good for gas cans
Color: Red
This transfer pump works quite well with gasoline. I have an ATV and UTV, so I have to handle gas cans quite a bit. Today's cans pour so very slowly that it is like molasses dripping out, and that long torturous time starts to hurt your arm, shoulder, and back. This is a great answer for that. Leave the can on the ground and let it pump itself. If you are looking for a little helper like that, I would recommend getting this! ... show more

  • Worked great
Color: Blue
For heavy usage I would advise a more heavy duty one . However if you are tired of filling up your riding lawn mower or even gassing up your push mower. If you're tired of spilling gas on yourself ,you just found the answer to your problems. I've gone with a 5 gallon metal gas can and trying to lift it up and not spilling it all over your motor or yourself ,this does solve the problem. To me this is the answer to my problem . It puts out enough fluid that it fills the tank in a reasonable amount of time but shuts off fast enough that you do not overfill. For the price tag it's worth the money. ... show more

  • Nice lil transfer pump
Color: Blue
Great liquid transfer pump. Takes 2 D batteries or 6 AA batteries in the included adapters. Easy to set up and use. The pump style handle with start stop trigger is a great feature. I was able to empty my 2 gallon generator fuel tank for summer-ization in about 30 seconds. No mess or spilled gas. Love it. Only minor thing is the clear hose is very light weight and may need changed overtime, but no big deal unless you are using it frequently. ... show more

  • Puts out more water quicker than my previous one
Color: Red
I really love how fast I can move water from my 10 gallon jugs to my watering cans to water my plants without dragging out my garden hose. I use it in my greenhouse where I don’t have running water and this makes it much easier to water my plants. I also use it to transfer distilled water into my humidifiers for my orchid greenhouse in my home. Just a simple super useful tool that I don’t have to depend on charging when I need it. I hesitate though as it does feel a little lightweight in terms of quality of the plastic. So I’m not sure that it will last as long as my greenhouse needs or if it would make it through a good drop but I never intend on dropping this and I guess if the plastic cracks in a few years I can duck tape it up as I really want this to keep working. I like the flow of the water that it can put out. ... show more
