These are as far as I am concerned the very best dies on the market. They are far better than most, the seating crimp die has a nice guide tube the keeps bullet in place on top of case. Really nice, durability is just top notch and accuracy of the dies I am really happy with. I set and forget. The expander die is a one set and go. The sleaved deprimer pin works really well on the resize die.

I have to give it 5 stars because hornady dies are great and for used they look like they were brand new. But I selected a used option under 9mm makarov dies. The funny thing is it came up as 40/10mm dies but they are not listed under 40/10mm dies drop down in the same listing. I knew I was going to keep.it either way. But lesson learned when you see a die set that might not be the one you are looking for, but cheap. Add to cart and see if its a different listing. This came from the amazon warehouse so boo on them.

Ever since I started reloading, I have used Hornady products. I have the progressive press and all my dies are Hornady. I have not had any problems with any of my Hornady dies. The quality is great for the price and Hornady sweetens the deal with their "Get Loaded" deals, throwing in free bullets with the purchase of dies, presses, or other reloading equipment. The only time I ever had a problem with these dies was the primer pin on the spindle broke, but Hornady sent me a new one immediately. These are great dies and will work perfectly with any other reloading equipment you have.

I am a novice reloader and purchased this set of dies as my first set to go along with my Hornady AP press. I don't have any perspective as far as other brands go, but these dies seem to do their job rather well. I decap my used brass by hand so I can clean the primer pocket prior to reloading but the sizer and expander seem to do their job as designed. The only reason this product lost a star is because of the seating die. I'm not entirely certain if it is user error or product design error, but in my first set of 5 shells I turned the lip of a nickel plated casing while seating a bullet in the case. It was only one wasted round, but a bit disconcerting being in the first 5 casings I've ever loaded. Hopefully it was just user/beginner error. All in all this is a sound product, I would recommend, especially if using on a Hornady press.

I hate buying the cheapest toys for my guns and reloading dies is a place I've seen it happen a lot. This was the lowest price for a good set of dies for a 40 S&W . And I have sets of Hornady dies for several calibers, never had any problems at all !! But Amazon cut the price WAAAY down just because someone opened the box. They don't appear to have ever been used !! Hornady is recently selling a cheaper set-and I seen what happens when a company does that. Thank you Amazon !!
