  • Ammo FACTORY in your man/woman cave
This isn't a reloading press for a beginner. Having said that, if you are an experienced reloader and have a desire to own your own ammunition factory, then you need THIS PRESS. If you buy a different brand (red, orange, or green brand, for example) then THAT mistake is on YOU. In the world of progressive reloading, there is Dillon, and there is everything else. Reliable, sturdy, the best warranty in the world, and it is the standard by which progressive reloading presses are judged. I owned an RCBS "Green Machine" back in the early 80s, and have been using progressive presses since then. I've owned that, an RCBS RockChucker single stage, a Bonanza Co-Ax single stage, 2 separate Dillon Square Deal "B"s, a Dillon RL550, and the XL650 that I have now, so I have some basis of knowledge on which to make these assertions. I reload for 6 pistol calibers, and calibers can be changed in a matter of minutes. Buy this, or regret it. ... show more

  • Powder measure drops powder all over press, small amounts but enough
I like how it looks, feels and just a really great looking press. I was frustrated setting it up had to watch videos a few times, they leave out some pain points in the videos. Overall once you get it going it is really nice. My main issues I have been having is primers getting stuck once in a while. But really what bothers me the most is the powder leaking after the round comes down. It begins to sprinkle powder over the press. I have had multiple emails with Dillon and done everything they asked to the point where they had nothing else. I hear online that buying two springs or rubber bands will solve this but after spending 875 on the press alone we shouldn't have to do that. Dillon has yet to respond to my request to send me the springs and they are 7 dollars each plus over 10 dollars shipping. These should be included when paying so much for a piece of equipment. Overall I should have purchased another quality press and loaded just a bit slower and saved 400 to use on other parts or even purchasing a new rifle with that kind of savings. ... show more
