Great shed for my small backyard! Able to build it with some help. There are some YouTube videos by the company. Worth watching. Very roomy and doesn’t let any water in. I like the floor too. Makes it easy to move if needed.

This storage unit assembled fairly easy. I slowed down a little assembling the shock absorbers but all ended on a good note. I needed a dry storage area for my large generator, this worked out great. When my power goes out, I open the doors and roll it out of the unit and connect my propane line, and 50 amp electric cable, start up the generator and power my house.

This storage shed is large! Lets start with the pros: I like the offset colors, tan lid and beige/grey sides. The front doors function as expected. The molded plastic material seems durable enough for several years of usage. It's too early to comment about the ~76 misc screws that were installed, but for now A- or B+. The negatives. The instructions were not the best and I had to watch videos of the correct way to install, especially in the top lid area! YES, I had to reinstall the shock absorbers twice, even with the videos online. It was pricey, $480 but it was about what I'd expect to pay for a storage container of this size. Back to the 76 screws going into plastic. Beware of screwing in too much as this will strip the plastic where the screw goes in. The instructions say to be SURE the base is level, or parts won't line up correctly. They were correct, my base was pretty close, but the lid needed adjustments to make the whole thing come together.

I bought two of these. They seem very well made and I'm happy with them. I am deducting one star because on both I had to cut a quarter inch off the metal bar (M) to fit correctly with the lid panel, and on one I had to elongate the drill holes in metal bar (L) to match the holes in the lid. Overall I would recommend though.

One area of my backyard always seemed to collect things that didn’t really have a proper home. Trash cans, yard tools, fuel containers, extension cords, and seasonal equipment would end up tucked along the side of the house where they were functional but definitely not attractive. This storage shed solved that problem nicely. I set it up near the side yard primarily to store trash bins and outdoor equipment, and it immediately made the area look more organized. Instead of seeing garbage cans and tools every time I walked outside, everything is now hidden behind a storage unit that blends in well with the rest of the yard. The lid is one of the features I appreciate most. The gas shocks make it easy to open, and it stays open while loading or unloading items. I’ve used storage boxes before where I constantly had to hold the lid up with one hand while trying to grab equipment with the other. That isn’t an issue here. The soft-close design is another nice touch. It lowers smoothly instead of slamming shut, which makes it feel more substantial and prevents the loud bang you often get with outdoor storage boxes. The interior space is surprisingly useful. I originally planned on using it just for trash cans, but it ended up becoming a convenient place for garden tools, hoses, outdoor cleaning supplies, and other items that were taking up room in my garage. Assembly was straightforward and didn’t require any special skills. The resin panels fit together well, and once assembled the structure felt sturdy. I had it fully put together in an afternoon. Living in a climate with intense sun, dust, and occasional storms, I wanted something low maintenance. The resin construction was a big selling point because there’s no painting, staining, or worrying about rot. So far it has required virtually no upkeep. The reinforced floor is another feature that shouldn’t be overlooked. It keeps everything elevated off the ground, helping stored items stay cleaner and drier than they would if they were sitting directly on dirt or concrete. What I like most is that it serves a practical purpose while improving the appearance of the yard. Guests don’t notice it, which is exactly the point. The clutter disappears, but the equipment remains easy to access whenever I need it. After using it for a while, it’s become one of those home improvement purchases that quietly makes everyday life easier. Everything stays organized, protected from the weather, and out of sight, which is exactly what I wanted.

I have my doubts about the long term durability of this shed, I'm imagining I'll have to jury rig some repairs over the next few years to keep it completely serviceable. I don't like the way it is mostly held together by screws tapped into plastic. That said, really cannot fault the design for ease of assembly for a well equipped and experienced DIYer. I'm a not-so-fit 70 year old man. I put this together by myself in about two hours after spending half an hour the night before unpacking it and studying the instructions briefly and lining up the exact tools I would need. ~ IMPORTANT NOTE: I did already have a level concrete pad of the correct size placed by a professional sidewalk guy. Also - I have not yet anchored the shed. I'll be using a hammer drill and larger size Tapcon screws for this purpose. I do not mean to minimize the difficulty for someone who is not well equipped. If you're the kind of guy who owns and has used a hammer drill, you'll find it easy. If your entire tool kit consists of a $25 Ikea apartment tool kit and you find assembling Ikea furniture overwhelming, you'll want to call in help. The instructions and the experience of several people who have reviewed this shed say you should have two, maybe even three people present. I found that the only part that was tricky for one person was attaching the roof. The solution to this is to use a telescoping handle of the sort you might use for an extended duster or light bulb changing arm. Position it in the center door latching hole on the floor, support the lid by placing the other end in one of the many recesses molded into the lid, and adjust it to the height you need (about 7 feet) to support the lid while you attach the hinges. Insert all the screws without quite tightening them down all the way, assure that everything is well aligned, and them tighten them down. The shed has room for two 96 gallon rolling trash cans with room to spare. I'm using the shed to store one such trash can, a wider rolling recycling bin, and some folding chairs and table.

I should have known there would be a problem with this. Everything went together fine until the most important and difficult part of the assembly. The arm-pieces that are supposed to hold up the roof and attach the struts to the thing were NOT MACHINED CORRECTLY!. The holes you are supposed to screw through to attach them to the roof are NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR THE SCREWS PROVIDED. So instead of finishing the assembly with the help of a friend (who is not easily available) I could not attach the roof at all. Now I have to drill out the holes so that it can be attached, or go BUY screws that will fit the damn things. Not happy at all and definitely will not buy another Suncast product from Amazon or anybody. This is a quality control issue and should have been done right at the factory. Now, I am set back for a week or two until I can drill out the holes or go find some screws that will fit through the holes. If it was returnable, I would do so.
