Purchased these Sonic joycons as one of my son's birthday presents for his new Nintendo Switch and he loves them. The functionality is great and it grips well (like an Xbox or PS4/PS5 controller). My son is a HUGE Sonic fan and he was super excited to use these with his Switch. He plays games much better than he would with regular joycons. Definitely recommend this to anyone that prefers controllers over joycons and, of course, anyone that's a diehard Sonic fan! ... show more

The only issue with it is, he can only play with these controllers as a portable unit with the switch. He can't use it with the big screen for some odd reason. But they are comfortable to hold and look awesome.

These controller options are pretty cool, licensed Nintendo product and they are very comfortable easy to use programmable triggers and turbo options are easy to set. But.. and this was the only downfall.. these controllers are made to be used on the console in hand held mode ONLY. You cannot use them for table top or tv mode. As a matter of fact they only turn on if they are connected directly to the switch console. They won’t even fit on the joy con controller adapter to use them in the other mode and there’s no way to power them even if they did connect to it. If that’s not a problem for you, 5/5 option. ... show more
